Does clothing count as armor? Wait, does a wearable container count as clothing?

I guess my question would be, was he wielding the backpack or were they just running into each other backwards?

He's got a second backpack now. One to wear, and the cougar leather one as a weapon. I'll see what skill levels up the fastest.

I'm guessing he got interrupted while picking up equipment. "Oh, here's a backpack for my rations. I'll just pick it up and -- TIME FOR BOOZE!"

If only we could get them to pick up and wield specific items.

Like that artifact adamantine floodgate.

Does the other recruit have a backpack on?  If not, it might have been wrestled away during the sparring match.

I didn't think of that. He's been using this thing for a while. If that's how it happened, the other one has probably found a replacement by now.

Now that's a true Dwarven weapon!

Hah, a few versions ago, before they started putting artifacts down, one of my masons was constantly carrying his artifact stone table.

If you are just wielding some random object, (backpack, rock, zombie spearmaster's head ;)) then you don't gain points in any specific skill. You might gain a little bit in wrestling, but I don't think so.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

I remember someone saying in the thread about the fatal pants that whacking stuff with clothes trains the armor user skill, but the armor user exp could also be caused by the frightened goblins smacking the crazy Pantsmaster.
