How about a purple super-miasma breath attack? The unfortunate dwarves caught in the blast vomit uncontrollably at the smell while their eyes, ears and fingers blacken, shrivel and rot away.

Ahh Sapphiron, killed by swarming crypt fiends and raised as an undead by a powerful death knight who is now the lich king. Very helpful in wrecking that naga base! He was a blue/frost dragon though, so its not unusual that he can breathe frost as a skeleton, actually maybe it is.

I'm talking about Warcraft3 here by the way, not WoW. Never really liked WoW, never realled liked MMORPGs in general. Though I still think people are a bit too hard on it.

Also yes to the miasma breath attack, no reason why we cannot have different kinds of dragons!

Skeletons and zombies should retain their abilities as long as the relevant bodyparts are attached, I think.

As for different breaths, I think somewhere in the Combat Arc this stuff will be expanded enough to allow attack types and damages that can be called anything. Like a cloud of slashing damage that gives the message "You are cut by shimmering knives!" - a-la some sort of a "wall of swords" spell.

As you journey to the center of the world, feel free to read the death announcements of those dwarves that suffer your neglect.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the cosmos. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips, I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my veins. Perhaps the rotting breath can increase the wear on clothes, and maybe there can be a tag to rot leather armor as well?

Ooooo Miasma breath would be fun.  Not deadly..but fun.  Does a non-tiring, non-bleeding, skeletal dragon REALLY need fire breath?

How about a zombie tentacle demon?

...

"Day of the Tentacle"?  :D
Ok, that wasn't a zombie. For the most part.  :p

A "breath" is more like an area-effect attack. If stuff like this could be defined in the raws, it would allow a lot more wacky creatures, as well as a means to do innate magic-like attacks that are not magic.
Well, I suppose magic itself would make a nice substitute for this, but I think it's too far away at this point.

On the other hand, trading a breath weapon in exchange for immunity to insta-kills due to random organ damage is a pretty good deal.

Knocking the head off still qualifies for an insta-kill of a skeleton however, even though it technically shouldn't. A zombie, yes - because it is driven by the brain (or what's left of it) still. But a skeleton is pure magic, it should be able to keep fighting.

a) I'll bet it's because it's very cold without any skin.

b) I can't click the link (at work) but I'll betcha you're talking about Sapphiron. No?

Something demonic with both tentacles and bones.

Back to the topic of skeletal fish.
