The Emperor's Mood: Generous



The Emperor Insanus Cancer looks about the collection of nobles gathered in his court, gazing upon each face with magnanimous grace and wisdom.  From Lord Tyrannous, all the way to Lord Tyranious, they were each so lucky to be here in his presence.  He is so wise - so brilliant that those around bathe in his magnificence like a warm ray of sunshine.   

"Today," he says, his rich, grand voice booming around the throneroom, "is a Great Day for our peoples.  The Second Expansion has come at hand, and our reach grows beyond our humble bounds.  Today the Galactic Empire grows a little larger.  You are all gathered here because you are the most powerful Houses in my empire, and I trust each and every one of you with all my heart.  That is why, with the discovery of this newest planet, I'll trust one of you humble few with stewardship over it.  I will now hear arguments for which of you will add this fief to your domain, and how your care of it will be best suited for the Empire."

The Emperor leans back in his throne as the buzz of conversation commenced.  A smile graced his wizened face.  It was nice to feel loved, and he knew that every soul here loved him with all their heart. 

It was in their fealty contracts, after all.



New Planet Available!
7[0]M : Size 7 Machineworld.
Available for auction.  Minimum bid is ^10.
One of two planets orbiting a red dwarf star, this below-average sized planet is without atmosphere.  However, the relatively low gravity, high solar pressure, and the massive gas giant in the same system makes it uniquely qualified for ship building.  Plentiful energy can be easily harvested from the red dwarf for the next few trillion years, and starships can be raised off the surface and sent on their way with a generous gravity assist from the nearby gas giant.  The planet is without life and will require some terraforming to reach its full potential, but it is ripe for industry.



The Emperor has Decreed that buying Food now cost ^10 per 10, and sells for ^4 per 10.

Additionally, your turn order processes as such: 
Planets produce one at a time.  You may use the Market, trade between players, move resources and whatnot at any time.  At the end of the turn, Pops can grow and planets can increase in size.


For example: You produce Food at your Farmworld, sell a portion of it, buy Alloys, then use that on your Machineworld to generate Karats.  You then use the left over food and alloys to increase the planets size and grow a new pop for it. You may not go negative by using the Market.

Lastly, please include ACTACTACT at the top of posts requiring GM attention.  This is how I easily sift through posts to find bids and cash in favors.

Questions:
What exactly does a white peace do? When does it take effect, how long does it last?
Are bids held in escrow, tying up used funds for the turn?
If a planet is full, can we terraform it and grow the population on the same turn?

Is that just for the NPC market, or does the order matter for player trade (IE, trade for money BEFORE I can sign a contract to buy food with the money).

The reason for the ^2 is the new lack of time travel+travel fees (are they new or did I just miss them before?) I need ^3 to actually move dudes to the forge, but don't actually have the money... Maybe, unless I can use taxes from food planets to pay if I process them first? idk
