It does arrive in the system, but the system remains uncharted.

It is all a bit of a sandbox (as all my games). So yes, you can negotiate trade if you want.

Why would I need alloys for?

I have no good answer to that. As a GM you could have any world/ship/alloy you want.
Maximum Spin, on the other hand, might want to keep their shipyard running.

That said. looks at production facilities. Teal Tea Empire is the only one that comes close to my current output. On the other hand, my research is non-existant.
