That is beyond my comprehension, I'm afraid.  I stand by every single claim I've made.

I was just testing sofa there because that setup with "if you get a scum result on me, lynch Max" was way too shady. I then didn't really get any opportunity to explain it. I really did target every day even though it was pointless, but I wanted to see if sofa would crumble on challenge, and... it kind of looked like you did! So probably work on that when you're actually telling the truth.

"Why don't we all think about this" says the Phantom Detective, Crystalizedmire. Sadly, the power has gone to their head.

"Why don't you listen? It's clear who the thief here is." says the Auctioneer, sofanthiel.

punch. Crystalized crumples like a sack of bricks from the Security, NJW2000. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. But I'm not one to be fooled thrice." They frisk the detective, discovering the Treasure.

It's clear who was in the wrong. But were the winners in the right? Kept within the tophat, the Venus Fluorite Necklace is safely retrieved, the thief and criminal element found in their midst captured. As the boat docks, the police come in to take them away and the auction resumes. It's been a strange ride, but the true winners are the people who experienced this strange journey.

Yay for everyone!  NJW, I especially loved how you played!  This in your honor, oh the perplexity we all went through, especially the alignment cop facing miller, godfather, and framer (who could have multi-framed if it had turned out that way)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Well done, sof.  I was thinking your chaos-style might solve it.

I can't believe both anti-town revealed themselves, but what a mindblowing game for every player, every role!

Sof, why'd you vote for me here?  What did I say that seemed so off, or why'd you quote that if you were voting for some other reason?

And does it matter that you're not answering Oliver either?

My mannerisms become a bit more eccentric when I get wrapped up in an amusing situation, but I've observed that's how I act regardless of alignment, making for a null meta read, which is optimal!

Oh, by the way, if you were wondering...I just straight-up forgot Crymea had claimed a double vote! I forget things. After I self-voted I figured you'd all go into the next day on equal footing.

Sof, why'd you vote for me here?
I was already planning to redden your name, but criticizing Max for avoiding (what I, at the time, considered) a rhetorical question seemed like you were looking for any excuse to discredit the person accusing you.

Yeah, that one was a big red flag to me too. I mean, what am I SUPPOSED to have said in response to that?

Cool.  Apparently Oliver also thought it was a real inquiry, but he didn't follow up other than to say it was a real question.

I would have asked you to explain your reasoning too, but you looked so scummy and non-explaining I didn't see the point.

Well, what it MEANS was what I said. It wasn't written in code.

Well played all!

Thanks for the art, Imp - I shall definitely treasure it.

Ah... I see. That makes more sense. The hammer did get in your way there.

EDIT: I've only just realised what an aggressive and out-there play the hammer by CM was, along with the 50% of votes fakeclaim. That was really down to the wire... I did luck out a bit in the end.

Also, Quarque's collected and sensible town game in the last BYOR did him no favours this time - it sets a pretty high standard of play to imitate as scum.
