I'm assuming you don't have to pay for Ancient Knowledge Safe haven(?), so... (Would be pretty bad if you had to since it's 1 food for a discard and two labor.)
Not bad much because it can be used to get 3 food too, every once in a while, and the 1 food isn't bad either, and discarding can be used to remove some problem cards too.

Although true, a lot of problem cards are made to trigger on discard (since that's what happens if you don't use them) so I think most of the negative cards we've seen wouldn't be escaped using it.

I've got an Animalism card I can give out for a players next turn. Anyone think they can pay the upkeep costs?

While not against the rules, I think its more fun if you don't collaborate in a direct manner and take an educated guess on how you would prefer to allocate your cards.

(Also, if I didn't already clarify, its once per player turn; meaning it might be more than once per god-turn.)

The wolves take on a massive beast who had been eyeing their prey, the grazers. However, the foul beast manages to take down one of the wolves' number before going down. In other news, it's raining again and migratory birds were sighted, which may provide minor subsistence. The Wolfmen ask the Gods for help, and in exchange promise to pray to their benefactors whenever they have the oppurtunity.

(Crap predator. I might as well have played the kill the beast card I got a coupla turns ago.)
