I did add in my rifle grenade that the simplified system is meant to seen if it cam be added to already existing bursting ammunition.

That doesn't really make the revision itself simpler, though. The scope is too broad.

If you want to vote for one of the other options, you can add it in. Until then let's declutter the list.

Its still using fulminated mercury as its bursting charge, which is stated to be part of the cost next to the spring assembly for the GSR and Piorun ammunition. Rifle Grenades are a better use of our action economy this early in the game and give our soldiers a weapon that is more deadly than the exploding ammunition with the potential to be cheaper than even what we can revise given we're still working with small bullets that need to be carefully assembled and made stable for the GSR.

The ammunition for the Piorun had no drawbacks and its still Very Expensive action to deploy the exploding ammunition despite being simpler to produce than the GSR ammunition. This is something taking away the complexities and expenses, giving our soldiers a new avenue of attack that can change the battlefield this turn, and with the potential of the trickle down to reduce the cost for both the GSR and Piorun ammunition.

I just really can't grasp why people aren't voting for it. The best you can do for the GSR ammunition is make it a Very Expensive item from what I can tell. I'd rather make something else we can use on the battlefield than waste an action on that when there is a trickle down potential in the first place.

I do like exploding ammo but try to have it being aimed to be cheap in future ideas? I don't mind though.

Rifle grenades are cooler still

The rifle grenades are overengineered and ambitious for a revision. They'd be better as one component of a dedicated grenade design.

Unfortunately force200 will inevitably vote for the rifle grenades, and from there losing another vote is practically guaranteed. Shrugs. I'll get a proposal passed eventually, mark my words. Just maybe not this one.

The point is to make the ammo cheaper, not make a new piece of gear. My Glass Core would have hopefully solved the production bottleneck, but in lieu  of that I went for the one that was made to make the ammo not NE. If it becomes VE, that means the machine gun ammo of that type is just E. That's a lot better than grenades I feel, since it applies more broadly across our army.

Ambitious Revisions also incur difficulty modifiers. Vs this which is.. Just altering the ignition mechanism. It's tiny as a change, so likely gets a bonus to the roll.
Better roll equals better result.

Its launching a projectile that explodes on contact from a rifle cup, its not overengineered rocket science. If you think this is overengineered what the fuck.

A grenade specifically made to be fired from a rifle.
A bullet made to be simpler to trigger by altering the ignition mechanism.

Of the two, which is more complex to pull off? It may not be over-engineered, but it does sound strange to me. It doesn't really solve the bullet cost for our pistols and MGs, but is it's own thing. Going from explosive bullet to generic grenade launcher sized for a rifle barrel.
