9 wounds, and I guess I now have 35 intelligence.
1. What are aptitudes in this?
2. Is Logic its own skill? What’s it used for?
3. What do Cold Hearted and Technical Knock do?
4. Thinking utility for the mechadendrites, unless the parentheses are an “and” rather than “or”.
5. I think I need to figure out the altitudes before I decide on weapon training.
6. What mechadendrites are available?
7. What cybernetics are available?
8. What sort of stuff can I spend my XP on, and about how much can I get with the 300?
Do you just want the book?1. Essentially this game has a free level system. Barring certain traits that are exclusive to one class everyone can get every trait, skill, commands, etc. Your Aptitudes determine how expensive they will be. If the thing you want to buy matches your aptitudes (Engiseer gets a tech skill) then it will be cheap. If the thing you want to buy doesn't match your aptitudes (Enginseer gets a Command Skill) it will be more expensive.
2. Yes, for decoding cyphers and gambling since they got folded into this skill. Also if you need to solve a riddle for some reason.
3. Cold Hearted: Immune to seduction/charm. Vitally important in a war against Orks.
Technical Knock: Unjam a weapon as a half-action. Doesn't have to be your own.
4. You get one :V. Mecandendrites are basically that extra cyborg limb lobsters have on their back. The combat one gives you an extra hand with a pistol, the others do what their name suggests.
5. You have a Las gun but no SP gun, probably should go for the Las. Unless you guys get an SP gun to use.
6. Ballistic, Manipulator (vehicle repair and hitting people with it), Medicai (Healing, drugging, and interrogating), Optical (Perception boost), Utility (Tech use bonus, oil injections, very weak smoke attack).
I'm not entirely sure if you're limited to Ballistic and Utility as a choice or not with how it is worded
. There is also the Servo Claw, which is neither ballistic nor utility so probably doesn't count.
7. There is like 30 of them between the three books. If you want to replace a body part or do something cyberpunky you probably can.
8. There is a list of suggested choices with each class. In general you can get a special command (Your Servitor helps you repair for +10 and half the time, or you can do Tech Use through him), you can boost an Attribute or skill, you can get a low-level Talent that fits one of your Attributes or a higher level Talent that you have the prerequisite for and fits two.
Basically you can slightly upgrade anything that isn't equipment.
I think Weapon Specialist seems the simplest. I'll take that. Ballistics skill bonus, Survival skill. Talent will just be Weapon Training for the laser carbine, and I'll just take the basic equipment.
I really don't want a comrade to order about at the same time. Is is absolutely necessary to have one? If so, can it be assigned to whoever squad leader is instead?
Comrades basically follow you around and give bonuses. You can't give them to someone else (without the appropriate ability), but if you really don't want one I guess you can be a loner. You'll be gimping you character a bit though. You can save XP for later too.
You're getting Lasgun barrage too since you already have Rapid Reload.
