This is difficult to answer because of an ambiguity in terms of what it would mean for this thing to be real.

One valid answer is "not anymore".
However, if its "[being] real" means that it is brought into being, as if by magic, in the state in which you could observe it in a fictional work - as though "summoned off the screen", without any prejudice as to what kind of medium is actually involved - then yes, it would be.

If only the thing itself, independent of its context, were real, yes. If we are potentially making a whole fictional context real, then no.
