The GM should definitely have a say in this
Yeah, he'd have a much easier time if he didn't have to worry about the possibility of write-ins thus could pre-write the outcomes of the choices, time permitting. That's one huge advantage to SPAM style games, turning it into a glorified suggestion game all but robs the GM of that luxury.

Though we'll see how PERMITTING write-ins will pan out. Maybe it will turn out that way, maybe it wont, i don't know and i won't say anything pre-emptively, i'll just be taking notes and keeping track of statistics.
Of course i'd love to hear Superdorf's own honest opinions on this matter too.

Even if write ins are permitted, we should try to keep the amount of alterations to a minimum to make it easier on Superdorf. In the case that write ins are banned, assume I go with the original D

Dude, you don't have write-ins in a spam game, it's against the law. Just ask Haspen.

I'll double down on what I said: especially popular write-ins may alter the execution of an action, or reappear in future decision points. This happens entirely at my discretion, so don't go too wild with it.

Also, I'm not Haspen. Things may wind up going a little differently here!

You consider the merits of a cliffside palace... but ultimately decide, that sounds an awful lot like work. Dragons are nothing if not INDOLENT!

The mead hall will do for now. You'll have the locals knock out some nice big doorways for you-- maybe you can even start a tunnel down to the caverns at some point.

A rather ratty-looking young man peers around the doorpost, asking for audience. Ever MAGNANIMOUS, you nod him in. He introduces himself as the Baron's old secretary, and-- as you are now the de facto ruler here-- presents you with a report of the city status!

Minor city: New Codhollow
Contentment: 5
Population: 4
Wealth HOARD: 3
Military: 3

"...this is it?" you ask.
"The baron didn't like long reports," says the man.
"Are these good... numbers?" you ask.
"They are acceptable numbers," says the man, hesitant. "We never had much money, and you did burn up quite a few of our guards."

Hmm. You'll have to do something about that.

1250 AD, Mid-Spring

"Ho there!" cries a suspiciously self-important voice from outside the gate. "Sir Oswald knight-errant, seeking shelter!"
Feh... you were hoping to avoid catching a "monster slayer"'s attention so early. Sounds like he doesn't know about you yet, at least.

A) !!BURN THE INTERLOPER!!
B) Have your guards shut the gates against Sir Oswald. Maybe he'll just leave?
C) Let him in, but order the townsfolk to keep your existence a secret.
D) Greet him yourself, friendly-like. Surely your clever tongue can smooth things over?

We want the world to know of our MAGNIFICENCE, not hide it away, nor do we need to antagonize anyone unnecessarily.
Greatness is built on strong foundations and no grain grows on barren earth.

D, obviously. ZENDAKRIEL is, of course, the MOST TONGUE-TWISTIEST of ALL creatures, yes?

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

"Greetings and good tidings, noble knight-errant!" you call, oozing majestically from the still-charred mead hall. "I, ZENDRAKIEL the RESPLENDENT, bid you welcome to thi--"

"DEMON!" roars Oswald, whipping out a hefty sword. "PERISH BEFORE MY BLADE, FOUL WORM!" He spurs his horse towards you, armor clattering!

...ah well. He's just a pudgy old coot anyhow.

With a lazy movement of the lungs, you hurl a column of fire against the charging knight. His horse screams and falls under him, fat crackling-- the knight tumbles to the ground, his armor red-hot. He doesn't get up again.

"Alas, my children," you croon, looking about at the horrified passers-by. "The world does not understand, does not accept one so MAGNIFICENT as myself! A dragon must defend herself, and her children, against such short-sighted creatures."

These words, and other words, you speak to the townsfolk... to poor effect, from the look of it. They return to their homes, fear and distaste evident on their faces. Someone throws a bucket of water over the sizzling remains.

1250 AD, Early Summer

Mackerel season!

Finally, something in your diet that isn't cod! New Codhollow is alive with fresh activity, as labor and festivity come together in one happy week. One after another, merchant caravans trickle in to purchase fish for your inland neighbors.

...the merchants, they are wealthy and well-traveled. They tempt you.

A) !!PILLAGE!!
B) Appear before the merchants, and demand tribute!
C) Appear before the merchants, and ask for information!
D) Leave the merchants alone. The town profits make their way into your HOARD anyway.
