Once more the Portal to Evil whirs to life within the Castle walls, a swirling green and yellow gateway opening inside it.
Those that stepped through found themselves in a cool field illuminated by bright starlight. An old wooden fence behind separates you from an overgrown corn crop. The night sky shines above, stars crowding it and the occasional bright streak shooting past. Opposite the fence to the right a bit and up a gentle slope is a small house facing away and towards the other side of the hill. There's a barn to the left and beyond it another fence and possibly a road.
There is a dim light on the far side of the house and the rumbling of a distant storm cloud down the road.
Much of the party finds something off with their gear and appearance, none of it is gone but something about going through the portal changed it. Perhaps to help them blend in.
Lyra finds herself in bell-bottom trousers, a t-shirt, and black leather jacket. Her mask is replaced with large aviator sunglasses, and her wrench is...still here. Albeit hooked to her now leather belt and wide buckle. Her other gear appears to be missing, but she feels like she could retrieve it by simply wanting it.
Osada kimono is replaced with an expensive wide-collared suit and bellbottom trousers, still red with black edges and a floral design undershirt. His swords are also moved to an intangible space just within reach.
Dani finds almost no change, while Joan's top turns tie-dyed pastel and her skirt shrinks down to a miniskirt.
Liliya finds herself wearing hotpants and a simple t-shirt, her duster replaced or changed to a short brown leather trench coat. Something about her hair was odd as well, it was pulled up in layers and there was some kind of odd greasy substance in it. She too had a pair of sunglasses like Lyra's.
Kino finds her habit and veil no longer as worn or torn. Damaged spots gone, tears patched seamlessly, and stains of all sorts cleared away.
Alexandria is the most changed however. Most of her body looks and feels like it's made of actual human flesh instead of hyperdense alloys, though her skin retains a faint lustrous tone and slight glitter. Her hair appears organic as well, though still sliver in color. Her evening dress is also replaced with a halter top and mini skirt made of fabric that appears to be more glitter than cloth, along with tall boots up to her knees. The heels of the boots are thick and made of clear plastic to barely show the cone shaped boosters hidden inside them. Several of her systems seem to be hidden away in non-Euclidean spaces invisible to the naked eye, while others are still within her and she's sure she could withdraw them if the need arose. Her weight and mobility hasn't changed much either, though she feels she might be able to fake it somewhat better.
