"Uh, wait, we have the wrong tomb. We're very sorry. Please, can you tell us the way to Goden Imagepure's resting place? We need to speak with him."

You say, "Um I'm really sorry you died. I think we have the wrong tomb. We were looking for Goden Imagepure's resting place. Could you-"

Obler interrupts, "Goden Imagepure. I have not heard that name in a long time. He was a disgrace when he failed as my general in the battle of 24. I gave him a tomb, yes, but only to keep unity of the factions. I care not for political squabbles anymore! Bring me Acespade, his battle ahnk, and I will spare you your lives."

(Subtly worried at the implications of 'battle ahnks'.. being fertility symbols and all... more worried about a female mummy demanding one. Weaponized reproduction sounds.... yeah. [Checks again] 'devoted mother'... good grief!)

Guess we get directions to the tomb and grab that ahnk thing.

"Where is Goden's tomb?" you ask.

Obler replies, "It is in the north west most tomb in this complex. Go there at once!"

And so you go to do as she asks.

Forum Runner needs a replacement. This event is packed with top hosts, eager to entertain and surprise you with their 2 week trials. But one player has had to step away, due availability reasons, leaving the baton up for grabs.

Win or lose, that will be determined by the trials, but you can definitely save Forum Runner 3.

Are you in?

Please help spread the word! Stay tuned as more develops.

It's the thing I was nominated for but immediately descended into IRL chaos and couldn't continue. It's a super fun competition and I recommend someone take my place!

Lets get to that tomb!

+1 Also how shiny IS this ankh? Asking out of curiosity, or to help us locate it, and definitely not to be tempted by its shiny desirability.

The Noi story line will be on stand by while I host Forum Runner 3.5. TricMagic and notquitethere will both be going head to head to see who can get closer to learning The Necromancer's secrets from the books in his tower, Galleyspun, by October 27th. Contestants, please remember to highlight your commands in your chosen text color.

TricMagic, you chose a mountain goat woman named Tim armed with a war hammer.

Your starting stats are as follows.

You start in the hills North West of Galleyspun.

notquitethere, you chose a mountain goat man named Belbez armed with a spear.

Your starting stats are as follows.

You start at the edge of The Wastes south of Gallyspun.

The faster you each respond, the faster I can reply with panels and the quicker you can get to your goal. Good luck to you both.

Jog over to the tower!

notquitethere: You start to jog through The Wastes towards the tower. A troll appears from a nearby cave. "HReeeaaaa!" It shouts.

It looks like it is about to leave the cave.

Yikes!

I think I can outrun a troll! Circle away at speed in the direction of the tower and try to get out of sight behind the sparse trees.

"Everywhere and everywhen, why must the masters be so demanding. Least the perks are good."

Knock down the tree, smash the branches and roots off, then ride it down the hills.

I think I can outrun a troll! Circle away at speed in the direction of the tower and try to get out of sight behind the sparse trees.

Notquitethere, the troll picks up a boulder.

He throws it at you as you pass behind a tree. The boulder hits the tree instead of you.

You continue to jog toward the tower.

"Everywhere and everywhen, why must the masters be so demanding. Least the perks are good."

Knock down the tree, smash the branches and roots off, then ride it down the hills.

TricMagic you remove all the branches and roots from the trunk of the tree. You ride it down the hill at staggering speed, bypassing a potential encounter with a beakdog mounted goblin.

You both have made it closer to the tower but the dead trees grow thicker here.

There are also many patches of writhing wormy growths.

You can bypass steping on the tendrils but you will have to pass through the thickets at a slowed pace.

"Course it's demon grass. Always some type of it around. I know it's weakness though!"

Knock down trees to create bridges through the patches. Use that body Strength! This type of stuff can't reach too high.

(Hammer, high strength, and enough wits to make use of the soon to be deadwood.
Well... unless those are actual worms, but would guess it's grass given it's staying rooted in place.)

Near miss... but have to keep up the pace...

Prod some tendrils with my spear. If they're strong enough to grasp it with prohibitive force, I'll try and yank my spear back and head for the thickets instead... but if they can't swiftly grab a spear then I'll try bounding through.
