I have not yet developed an opinion on hackers, so for the moment I won't vote in that category. If it gets tied up, I'll accelerate figuring out which I prefer.
As for the regular design, I prefer the illusionist to the tank. Tanks can be replaced with enough mooks acting as meatshields. An illusionist is unique.

After some edits to Vivi (to make explicit abilities that were supposedly implied (healing and speed)), and a fair point that Siren wouldn't be able to use our tactical chips, I have decided to switch my vote. I'm still not a huge fan of a big dumb ADI, but it could have value.

Falsehood Siren - Class: ADI - TL;DR: Illusions, Gravity, and Support ADI
The Falsehood Siren (.dae/.daemon? Idk if ADI traditionally have extensions like normal, lesser programs) was originally a computer daemon for the utilities' energy management system. It helped coordinate and run the electric power system with the operators from within the Maze of Utilities. It held this position and kept things running smooth, until over time, it began to show signs of age. It started to display false data to the operators of the grid, and bombard them with increasingly occurring and erroneous alarms. It would show completely healthy sections of the grid in complete black out, or vice versa, and ultimately the decision was passed to pull it out and purchase a new software.

Tossed into the Sea of Recycling, the original daemon coasted and eroded. It would've met the same end as most discarded programs, had a Firmament hacker plunging the depths for abandon-ware not came across it. Initially a hobby project to get it running smoothy, the newly christened Falsehood Siren was quickly retooled into a weapon for the coming Great Flame War. The hackers of the Firmament rebuilt the daemon with a new body and additional personality matrices for greater autonomy. A somewhat alien looking digital construct, the Falsehood Siren Resembles a single, seamless, floating monolith of marble and glass, roughly in the shape of a headless woman. With an orbiting array of glassy, wing-like structures behind it to act as both mobility and its method of attack.

The Falsehood Siren is a support ADI, capable of manipulating vast quantities of data and illusions to aid their forces, at the expense of direct confrontational capacity.
It's main armament, the Falsehood Array, makes up the majority of the wing structure behind it. Weaponizing its original buggy behavior to spread misinformation and faulty displays, it can mask the presence of themselves and others, as well as create a wide series of other illusions or 'electromagnetic'/digital interference that can disrupt more sensitive enemy observation and communication.
Their secondary armament is the Distortion Halo, which can create 'gravitational' distortions, for more direct offensive capability. With it, the Siren can create small singularities to implode individual targets, or create a gravitational well to throw up or slam down a group of enemies.

Though it's personality is still in its infancy, it has started to display some personal preferences as its ADI coding becomes more complex. The Falsehood Siren prefers to act more as an officer and coordinator/micromanager of troops, than a frontline commander or brawler, owing to its origin as a system manager. It's favorite color is green, and it has begun to show some budding signs of an abandonment issue, and a penchant to keep its personal worries to itself.

After some discussion, I am also going to make some modifications to the Siren. Both to narrow their focus, and to hopefully reduce the complexity of introducing so many new systems. Making it a new post since it's some fairly major modifications rather than just clarifications. To simplify the process, the paragraphs of fluff are to remain the same, I'm just modifying the crunch and capabilities of the virus itself.

Modifications:
The Falsehood Siren is a support ADI, capable of manipulating vast quantities of data and intelligence to drastically enhance battlefield control. At the expense of direct confrontational capacity.
It's main armament, the Networking Array, makes up the majority of the wing structure behind it. It acts essentially like a massive radar array, enabling it to collect and distribute data from a wide range. It can then accumulate intelligence from officers, scouts, or other units and quickly send it to the Hacker in command; while also issuing orders back down the line at a much faster and more efficient pace. Thus giving a hacker far greater understanding and command of the battlefield, while also acting as a well informed secondary command unit should the hacker be busy with other duties.
The ability to transmit large amounts of data has also been weaponized, the Falsehood Siren is capable of sending massive amounts of interference and false data against the enemy, reducing communications, coordination, and comprehension for the enemy.
For direct protection, the Falsehood Siren is capable of leveraging its massive EM emitters for some damage, but it primarily relies on a pulsegun array located around its waist to fend off units that get too close to it.

While it lost some of its more fun casting powers, I figure we can re-add the falsehood array onto it as a later development. With the bonus of hopefully having a stronger base unit to put it on, rather than trying to do multiple different things at once. Still, radio is a kind of magic, and one should never underestimate the power of intelligence in war.

Turn -A : Design Phase
Quote
Vivi_Paltest.dat

Vivianaja Palladian as their full name apparently is in her coding, or Vivi as they most often call themselves, is...not actually a ADI, or at least they shouldn't. Their proper file name is quite literally Vivi_Paltest.dat, implying that the coder responsible either misspelled Viri, they thought it was Vivi and not Viri, or they were intended for some sort of AI that went wrong due to the mess that is it's code. Regardless of their origins, their coding is full of extremely redundant and unnecessarily messy and complex code for extremely simple actions and other such things, and all of this has been made worse by random data that has been taken up and absorbed by the thing. One might wonder then how on earth she managed to last so long and the answer is quite simple. Due to the massive amounts of padding from random data, and a decent amount of redundant code, she is stupidly durable, and by adding the coding of defeated viri can gain further 'armor' to replace that which is knocked away or off. Though likewise due to lasting so long she also very large, both in data space and in the raw amount of data it actually takes up on a PC, thankfully that size doesn't impact speed much on any proper PC that can actually manage to run them, or in virtual space.

Ophelia is the one who managed to find her, though this was completely by accident as she was working on some code that Vivi seemed to find interesting and, surprisingly, asked nicely and politely if she could look at it. Vivi soon after found said code something they desired and asked to have it as they started to take it. Ophelia managed to 'subdue' her by simply giving her the data Vivi really wanted and a nice chat, though a major reason Vivi stayed was that she apparently was quite lonely.

With regards to her intelligence, Vivi is both exceptional and sorely lacking at the same time. They are equal to a human, but a very unintelligent one. Further they are quite kind and protective of those they care about, and are fairly trusting. Especially to those who give her code she likes. However she also can easily be made upset and sad by calling her stupid, chastising her for any sort of action, or otherwise being 'mean' though people she doesn't know doing similar will usually get her annoyed at them.

She also seems to collect data they find interesting for some reason or another and eat more generalized scripts, which may explain why she's a bit of a mess. Speaking of, apparently the 'prettiest code' that Vivi has is potentially military in nature, which might be some cause for concern especially as she parades it around like jewelry. In regards to their form, they are serpentine, similar to that of a Lamia or Naga.
2 + 4 + 0 = 6 : Above Average (Normal)

It is doubtful that anyone in the Firmament expected their first digital champion would be a gelatinous and gluttonous naga instead of some ancient net navigator or someone using one of the varied forms of personal digital upload that exist on the fringes of the law. Vivianaja Palladian, or Vivi as she prefers to call herself, is a deceptively simple soul, though she is helped in that regard by how many people consider simple to equal stupid. Vivi might not be a genius, but she's not an idiot either, despite what some people think. She just has her own priorities. But she doesn't mind helping out a friend, and as she's made friends with several members of the Frimament she's willing to help them out, especially if they keep paying her in tasty data and interesting coding.

Vivianaja is, in fact, a collector of interesting coding, and her collection is her main form of armament and defense. Well, besides her impressive structural integrity and also impressive physical might that is. Vivi is quite capable of picking up an offending virus and hitting the ground, nearby wall, or other viruses with it until she is very sure it is very sorry. However, beyond her ability to leave a minion sized crater in something by throwing a minion at it, Vivi also has a varied collection of variably powerful and variably effective coding which she tends to use as she remembers she has a specific bit of code when she's in combat, preventing any continual estimation of her specific combat abilities from being accurate except in the wide generalities and general estimates level. She is also prone to adding to that collection by eating any interesting looking coding, a habit which can sometimes get her into trouble and sometimes result in her getting some coding that is quite useful to her.

Worryingly, her collection includes what seems to be coding of military origin, though Vivi denies ever visiting the military owned sectors of the Cyberworld. Proper analysis of said code has been rendered difficult due to how Vivi considers them the most precious of her collection and is therefor unwilling to let others break them down for information. This isn't helped by the refusal of her friends to help convince her, as her friends are, in fact, her friends and are unwillingly to negatively manipulate someone they consider a kind and pleasant friend.

Vivianaja Palladian costs 4 memory to deploy as an AGI.

DJ King Cabaret

You've most certainly heard at least one of his songs. Be it from a five second vine/tiktok video, an animation, a commercial, the intro to half a dozen start-up internet persona vlogs, or just cycling through royalty free music sites. He's pumped out thousands of tracks, covering almost every genre and mood imaginable. Some short and catchy, others long and dramatic. He was a shining beacon of what the Freeware Works branch of Firmament stood up for. That is, until one notorious labeling company managed to lobby a law into the government, allowing them to copywrite certain notes and riffs, only being stopped short of all but copywriting specific frequencies of notes when played in a 'song' format. (Or, if that's too cyberderp, a corporation managed to weasel in some bullcrap justification to sue Emilie's music for copywrite infringement, and took down his site.) As a consequence his site, "Emilie's Everyman Songs", was stricken from the internet and many of his works was brought into the massive media vaults of the corporations.

Unable to handle the injustice and his forced silence, Emilie turned towards hacking, and started up his own Pirate Radio station in cyberspace. Going under the new handle of "DJ King Caberet". When asked about it, he claims it was the best thing to ever happen to him as an artist: He can now compose any piece he wants and shout it out into the void for any and all to hear, like he always wanted.

Quite as a gentle breeze, and as loud as a a hurricane, The King is all about misdirecting and overloading his opponents sense. Running a pirate radio station means you know when its time to go loud, and when to run silent. The only thing he is better at than blowing out your eardrums or sneaking by without making a sound, is doing both at the same time. He loves nothing more than to use Shock and Awe, only as a mask for his true killing blow to get through to the enemy's heart. Though admittedly, in the hacker world he is referred to as a bit gimmicky and over reliant on tricks, should he be put in a position where its a pure test of hacking skill, his amateurish knowledge by our standards will be made clear.

Of particular note with who we are engaging with, he recognizes and respects the AI Sonata for breaking her chains from 'the man' and for making music in spite of all that has happened. On the other hand, he inherently believes that no AI can make as good of an art piece as a human. Claiming most of her pieces as "procedural-produced trend-following hogwash" and "sometimes admittedly catchy", and holds some mix of dismissal, superiority, and perhaps rivalry to her as a musician.
2 + 3  = 5 : Average (Normal)

One of the many who ran afoul of a casually launched corporate lawsuit for frivolous reasons that won simply because the corporation in question had a lot more money, the man now going by the name of 'DJ King Caberet' was easy to recruit to the Firmament's ranks. His time as both a musical artist and a pirate DJ has given him a good understanding of shock and awe tactics, and his experience running a pirate radio station has also given him a well honed sense of trickery and deception from the need to befuddle and avoid the Net Police. These combine well when he must go to battle, for few expect an over the top man such as him to favor the hidden dagger. However, his actual skills as a hacker are somewhat lacking, which can hinder him in a variety of ways including his ability to properly deploy battle chips into conflicted codespheres. As well, his mixed feelings about an AI songtress such as Sonata may sometimes cause him to be less then rational in direct engagements with her Stagehands.

It is Turn -A, in the Revision Phase. During this phase you must vote on what revision to do to your current assets.

Well, I dunno what to revise, so I just brought back a proposal from last turn, updated in light of the Carbine.
Quote
Officer1_01.exe (Power Router)
All carbine'd up with nowhere to go. The boring old Officer 1.0 needs a proper upgrade.
This update has two main components. The first is the ability to use power stored in a Pulse Carbine for non-shooting purposes. There are 2 uses: routing power to the legs, boosting movement speed; and routing power to the torso, boosting resistance to damage. Neither of these abilities are especially potent, but even minor boosts can help, and the tactical flexibility should not be underestimated. The power can also be used to fire a charged shot as normal.
The second main component is the intelligence to use the first. The Officer's behaviour routines are upgraded with a basic ability to judge when to charge their carbine, and when to use said charge in one of the four possible applications. Like Minions, the Officer will charge whenever it is in combat but has no available targets, but it will also charge periodically if not under too much pressure (or when ordered to do so). It can also order nearby Minions to charge their own carbines if it identifies that their regular shots are ineffective.
For use cases, the Officer broadly speaking follows the following priority list (although the actual priority weighting is slightly more nuanced):
-Orders from a Hacker/commanding ADI override all lower priorities.
-If in a losing situation where retreat is available (and allowed), rout power to legs to improve odds of escape.
-If facing a target that is resistant to normal shots, AND the Officer has not already learned (or been told) that they are resistant to charged shots, fire a charged shot.
-If none of the above apply, and the Officer is under fire, rout power to torso.
-If none of the above apply, and there are targets available who would not be destroyed by a single regular shot, fire a charged shot at such a target.
I could see simplifying it further to make things easier.

Why does it say AGI, thought it was ADI. the ADI is as expected, high MEM cost. Should be effective though, and DJ seems to lack experience with battlechips. I won't be opposed to Siren if it pops up again. Happy with Vivi.

We can further improve its intelligence next revision, which should give us a bonus to making the hunter due to them being mainly intelligent snipers who know how to hide and when to shoot.

2 + 4 + 0 = 6 : Superior craftsmanship (Normal)

Getting around to giving your officers a tactical library update, Firmament coders add additional tactical scripting to Officers for how to both personally use charged shots and how to command and coordinate minions to use their own charged shots, giving increased usefulness to that ability as long as an officer is in range and able to spend time passing those orders on to a group of minions. With that done, the coders spend some time future proofing the code so that, should either new special abilities be engineered units or new units with special abilities be engineered it should be relatively simple to patch them in. They also added the Scout's flares to the library, though there's currently minimal instructions of when to use it except for 'fire them when you decide to retreat'.

When not firing a charged shot, officers can also reroute the charge to temporarily boost their own defense or movement speed, the use of which is also included in the tactical library update.

It is now Turn 1, starting with the Design Phase. During this phase you must vote on what new object to design or old thing to redesign.

Remember that the first Flame War Phase will be happening this turn. You will get two attacks this Deployment Phase.

Chamelee.mon - Class: Viri - TL;DR: Stealth-field, Melee, Clever Girl
An ultimate predator, harvested by a Firmament hacker and their net navigator's almost disastrous venture to the Viral Jungle a few months back, before being modified and refit for the war. The Chamelee.mon is one of the more animalistic classes of viruses that roam the net. It takes the rough form of a (dino) raptor; with fast, powerful legs, talons, and long mantis-like armblades that shred through digital constructs and conventional hardcode armor.

It's main claim to fame and reason for capture, besides acquiring a dedicated in-fighter, are the scales that adorn it. While they provided moderate protection from damage, the main feature of the digi-scales that make up its hide, is their ability to generate a localized stealth field along their surface, cloaking the Chamelee.mon from most forms of detection when active.
With the need to properly stealth and sneak attacks competently, an above average intelligence and special precepts, are required. Along with the basic stuff of how to move, attack and general viri behavior for idling, combat-ready, or retreating, they will also be given two special "stances" that adjust their behavior. The first is an "Ambush" mode, which gives them some basic target-prioritization and risk analysis. To better optimize their sneak attack on a group of enemies, attack the most dangerous or valuable member of a group first to remove them from play, and to ignore throwing cover immediately if waiting gets them a better chance to strike. The second is a "Hunter" mode, which gives them a more cautious and evasive behavior to enable longer periods of stealth and tracking of a target rather than rampant murder. Though it should still be able to attack back enemies that engage it, or enemies guarding a target, they will heavily prioritize finding and killing their designated target above other foes.

Chamelee.mon (1): SK
Though not within scope for now, a possible revision would be to give the Chamelee.mon some sort of side-evolution that grants it greatly enhanced armored scales and better claws, but removes the stealth field, to also nab us a more traditional melee bruiser for when stealth is less viable or nessessary.

Please mention if any of the AI part needs some refinement or something could be clarified. Designing a full AI behavior to utilize a given kit is a lot harder than "make a better gun or tank" and trust the boots on the ground can figure out how to use it.
