Hi, should I buy you guys some games?

Given your situation, as a fellow college student, I would say no.
But for suggestions, I would say look at the game list to see what titles have the most entrants still, or pick from s couple lists of best indie games, or find which topics in this forum are generally very active and/or appeal to you the most.

I have played the board game version once. And it was not bad. But I think the board game event hall was supposed to be closed over night but we just stayed and continued playing. This one game. And I lost in the end. That 10 hour overnight marathon still haunts me...

That's really long for a game of Twilight Struggle - normally a game doesn't last much longer than a couple hours - if nothing else, the turn limit should preclude 10 hour deathmatches.

It was my first game and I think his third or so so we spent quite some time with rules. Playing nearly nonstop over night probably didn't help us make our turns faster, either.

Yeah, generally my experience playing in RL is like 2 to 3 hours.
