Daed/missing 17dorfs , but don't have a clue what causes this..eerie

Can you use the z-screen stocks menu to zoom to their corpses? Are there any combat reports?

If you literally cannot find anything then it's possible they were atomized by a drawbridge.

If you have no bodies, you need to use slabs to memorialize the dwarfs, or you will have ghosts.

After you build the slab, at craft workshop, you order the slab engraved. Then you may see the cause of death on the slab.

If there are no corpses anywhere they've likely either been atom smashed by a drawbridge or incinerated by magma. Everything else leaves a corpse (intact, in pieces, or raised as an undead unit).

A hard cave-in with layer stone/soil is a possibility, too.

Found only a left hand on the corpse pile from one dorf of the 17
Now more bodyparts are dropped there
Left only 5 dorfs and hopefully migrants are coming ? ..i try to build a slab

No track records of migrants ? .. there was a wave of migrants ( but now all died )

With no combat reports? Anything that would remove a hand would generate a report, I think.

Can't find anything about a missing hand
A miner is now dying and i see in his wound summary that some body parts are orange or red
Are those bodyparts then severely hurt him ?

He is starving ( in red color) and dehydrated ( in red too )
His left upper arm /right lower arm / righthand/ lefthand are all orange colored
Conclusion: he cannot drink anymore ?
Further..  right wrist/ankle broken and third finger and right hand are red colored ( missing bodyparts?

The miner is not making it ?-- only 4 dorfs left ..
The only hope if there are migrants arriving to survive the fortress, but when..is there a prediction?

Got a small message popping up at right bottom : looks he is dead ...from who ?

As far as I know that fills up the hospital, and those that don't make it leave corpses behind. Also, diseases are not implemented in DF.

No, that's not the case that i got(need) help..its too late.
I tried to do by myself, but i did not succeed in it
The fortess has almost comes to his end and no rescue seems to me possible with two dorfs left .. i need stone for building a slab, but this two dorfs don't gonna make it to make a slab or do mining for a economic stone ( needed for a slab)

The fortress has not come to his end (almost near), so looking at the past history in the legens viewer gives perhaps the answer why those 17 dorfs died?.

Suppose they get a disease the dorfs, then we get a hospital with new challenges
