...Oh wait, there's still an enemy remaining. I didn't notice him there. Excuse me sir, can you hold still for a moment...?" He said, as the grim reaper descended on her pegasus with an unholy screech.

"Lucy, I thought you'd like this. Like yourself, it is both aesthetically pleasing and potentially lethal. Consider it a gift from your number one fan." Xerxe said, being generally bad at flirting.

"You guys are trying to spoil me... but I'll allow it."

Lucidan took a moment to figure out how to carry the new acquisitions, eventually settling on tucking the katana into the sash around her waist with her (as yet completely unused) sword. The tessen disappeared somewhere into her clothes with the other fan.

"Now that I have two fans I can show you some pretty good fan dances... but later. I'm wearing way too much clothing for that."

....and in a flash, Nico's leg darts out like an arrow, knocking the sword out of his hand, before she launches her knee into his chin, throwing the remaining bodyguard back.

"I yield! I yield! Stop! I'll tell you what you want, just don't hurt me anymore!"

....well, that was anticlimactic.

Tomo watches Nico hit the remaining bodyguard with an expression similar to an unsuspecting revivian watching Lucy dance.


Which is to say, as if he's witnessed one of the most beautiful things in life. After a moment though he returns to his senses and switches to glaring over Nico's shoulder at the ninja, the impact of which is only slightly lessened by the blush on his face.

"Heeey, good job everyone!"

Lucy gave a small bout of applause to the rest of the team for how well they'd taken out the wannabe ninjas. She strutted up to the remaining bodyguard and put a foot on his chest, pushing him to the ground and then standing slightly on him to keep him from running.

"Mind telling us what this scuffle was all about?"

Yeah, who's this Cassius fellow one of you mentioned? I don't remember or even know the names of everyone I've beaten, but they've generally all had it coming. Your boss was shouting some Revivian supremacy thing, kinda impolite if you ask me, but that's not why you attacked us out of nowhere, is it?

"There's nothing wrong with Revivians being on top once in a while."

Largo joins the merry band of people-pressuring-other-people-they've-just-beaten.

"Ladies, we don't have time for this. Whoever that Cassius is, he has nothing to do with us. We told you that much already. What's more important is that we have someone amongst us that we need to get into safety."

The oni sighs.

"Knowing our luck, we already missed the Claudine Street tram. Meaning we have a long walk before us. Even less reason to waste time with some Revivian punks."

Then, he looks straight to the bodyguard on the ground.

"Revivian, I've just said so, but I'll repeat it: We have nothing to do with Cassius. I feel for your loss, but letting it out on strangers not involved with anything about it isn't the right way to mourn."
"We'll let you go if you promise that your crew won't be in our way again. That's all I'm asking for."
"But if you do intend to get in our way again... "
"Well, let's just say that fighting six of your men at the same time was just the right thing after waking up with a massive headache. Next time, there won't be a handicap in your favor."

The bodyguard just looks at them in disbelief.
"W-what do you mean you didn't kill Cassius? A-and don't know who he is? Everyone who's anyone in this town knows who he is! And we have pictures of your weapons covered in his blood!"

He shows you a crystal tablet where, as he says, your weapons are indeed covered in someone's blood.

Or, as you already know, the fake blood.

Even dumber than he looks...someone must have manipulated him to see what he wants to see in that.
