You STARE. The Man goes from fuming with rage to confused to the point of tears in a matter of moments. You could almost swear you heard an audible click.

He walks up to you, once he finally regains his composure, and he puts on a neutral, serious face. It’s not fooling anyone, but he seems reassured by it.

‘About th’ orb. Some stuff happened in the Inn the night before last. You said you know you caused a “rukus”, but what else do you know? And, uh, who told you?’

He begins to think for a second. Nervousness rises up into him, as he opens and closes his mouth, which is slowly replaced by anger, before being eclipsed by other, more subtle emotions. He puts on the serious face again, this time, with sencerity.
‘On one condition.’
He lifts up his tunic to show off his stomach. It’s mostly concealed under layers upon layers of bandages.
‘I get to punch you in th’ stomach. Just once, then I’ll call us even, and I’ll tell you something you’ve definitely forgotten.’

Ten real good punches to the face could pretty easily kill us outright-- we'd at very least come out of it seriously mangled.

We've had our fun; we've enraged and confused this poor guy almost to tears-- it's time to be at least somewhat civil about things. A gut punch should be livable, and we've presumably earned it!
