Haven't done this one of these in a while. Count me in but I need to get home before I can choose my nation.

Edit: I have chosen the nation T'ien Ch'i

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

Never played Dom 5 before, but what the hell? Count me in. I'll figure out a nation to play tomorrow, after fiddling around with what 5 has to offer, but I'm slightly leaning towards Ulm.

Hard to believe we've only managed 3 rounds of this previously. Sadly, I have no time for a game right now. Best of luck to all of you.

Both my and Bay12's Dominions hiatus has went on long enough. Count me in.

Ah, fuck it. I'm in.
I can use some regular commitment in my life right about now.

But man, I just don't quite get Dom5. I like to think I had Dom4 figured out, but with the simultaneous battles I just don't follow what's going on to the extent that would allow careful planning. Gone are the days of knowing how most of a battle will unfold before it even started.
Maybe I'm just an old horse that won't learn new tricks, but I wonder if the drop in frequency of Dominions games on Bay12 is not due to the same general feeling.

In, probably as Sceleria.

It might be, but it also might be specific repeat offenders burning out. I instigated a fair number of previous games, but I've been struggling since May to muster the enthusiasm to finish a NationGen update, and while that represents a significant time commitment, it pales before an actual game of Dominions.

I agree, this feels more like the people who make the games here took a break. I know I have run a few and recently I just haven't had the time.

Also I have decided to slip into my default choice of T'ien Ch'i for this game.

It is, however, curious how the general burnout happened just about concurrently with the release of Dom5.

It's somewhat self-fulfilling. Seeing that there weren't games running here, rather than try to start one, I just played elsewhere for a while.

Hey, I hadn't noticed before that at least some of the hand-drawn maps feature a province-by-province seasonal variation now. At least the stock Peliwyr does. So pretty.
