Alex finally managed to tug the arrow between his armor and his leg out of the ground... and then just as he did, another arrow expertly pierced the same area of his armor, but as if to mock his previous words it pinned him to the ground by his boot. Even if the damage was only a graze...

The bard continues to pace as his face scrunches, lost in thought. As he passes by, he brushes his hand on the northern wall of the cavern, muttering to himself.
: "There's still plenty of unknowns. Even if the situation is suspect, my skills appear to line up with what memories I do have."
He pauses for a moment before retrieving his flute, tapping his foot for a while before bringing it up to his mouth.
: "The rest of the magic I possess was correct, so this one should be no less possible.
: "...I can't say I like the idea. Somehow I get the feeling this was a last-resort option even before I lost my memories. But I need as much information as possible. At the very least, they're not alive..."

Impatient to get into action, Iris pushed her way to the front, taking cover behind a rock formation. She supposed she was due an arrow soon...

And yet her eye was drawn to the water. Beholding the darkness of the cave pool before her, she could see the barest hint of the remains that surely must lie beneath, the leavings of countless warriors who had fallen here in this narrow chokepoint and were swept aside. The surface of the water-polluted with an unhealthy green sheen-contrasted utter stillness, broken by even the lightest footfall. It seemed almost to shivering.

She supposed this might have become a breeding ground of a sort for the one eyed terrors that had previously occupied it...what horrors would lie underneath, that she might bring them to an easel...

"...What a charming little scene. I believe I have time to do a sketch."

Action: Move to H13, Idle while painting a cave pool

Branwen winces as the adrenaline somewhat wears off and she realises just how wounded she currently is. She holds up a hand and flies up across the pond. That feeling of getting so lost in herself, so hyperfocused, was....familiar. Not that she coulld say from where, but this wasn't the first time. The scar on her cheek prickled, but if it was a clue to her memories, it was a clue Branwen didn't possess the necessary context to decipher.

This lance felt wrong in her hands, for some reason; it didn't have the right heft or weight for her. Something like Alexander's mace but.....lighter.
