Iris had just begun when a wild pegasus woman rode into her setting, shedding feathers and looking strained. On a whim, she decided to add Branwen into the scene. She would try to capture the womans essence in this single moment in time...

Her impression of Branwen up til now had mostly been restlessness, a sort of spring loaded energy that needed only a direction and purpose. A powerful inner momentum that frankly the artist was a bit jealous of...she herself was prone to ease...moving slowly and thoughtfully, looking for the perfect moment...while people like Branwen dealt in the bitter press of life, acting in a moment when a moment was all the time that remained...the pegasus riders life-fire burned all the more fiercely for its passing nature, comet-like, a beauty that was painful to look upon without being seared...since by the time you looked, she would usually already be gone...

Iris mulled how to introduce that energy, that unique vibrancy, into her painting.

"...Hmm...Life above...death below...a decent subject to portray... ♥ ♥ ♥"

The bard remains at the wall, one hand planted on the craggy unhewn rock. He hesitates for a long few moments before responding.
: "It's... supposedly a song that will control the will of a singular target. Not for long, and only for a single command, but... if the target falters, the command it gives is absolute."
His hand begins to tense, balling up as he grits his teeth.
: "...I think it worked. I had something on the other side take a shot at one of its allies. From the kind of resistance I could feel, it must have been one of the creatures fighting us."
