When the Empire declared itself as the "chosen nation", the war that followed reached an apex when WMDs were deployed and the entire world almost brought itself to extinction. The international community (including a reluctant Empire) drafted the Multilateral Agreement. An international law that forbade the development and use of WMDs. The Agreement brought awareness of WMDs and their destructive capacity, and with that awareness came peace. However, this peace was not to last, as war would, once again, tip the peace the world enjoyed on its head and kick it aside.
Now, war is fought differently. Instead of building bombs and missiles, mobile armour has taken centre stage in winning wars. Tanks, tank destroyers, artillery -- all the new "WMDs" of this war. Of course, one consequence is that minor nations can easily enter the war theatre and threaten their much bigger counterparts. You are a member of one of these nations. Your crew and mobile armour are tasked with leading your nation to victory in the combined war effort. War may be different, but make no mistake -- it is
not any easier!

+ Boasts the most advanced and sophisticated mobile armour around. Imperial vehicles are very well built and developed.
+ Imperial MA often comes with nifty secondary and tertriary abilities, allowing even a single MA to turn the tide of battle if used correctly.
+ Experimental MA is easy to come by. Chance to play with some cool MAs comes more often than other countries.
- High military budget does not mean you get to be careless. Imperial MAs are expensive and due to their development, hard to manufacture and deploy. Keep sending back piles of scrap and you'll be put in the more mass-produced (boring) models. You may also get yelled at. Command doesn't like going broke!
- The more sophisticated MAs will need experts to operate them. Prepare to endure drill after drill regarding their use, and prepare to be able to do limited technical/maintaince duties in the field when you can't get back to base quickly.
- Because higher-end MAs are fewer in number, expect to be supported by lower-tier units (greater number) or very few units of equivalent sophistication.
Union of Red Republics
+ The best pound-for-pound raw firepower. The Reds like their MAs simple: more dakka!
+ Red MAs are numerous, cheap, and easy to repair.
- While their firepower can be overwhelming, their speed leaves a lot to be desired. You won't be doing much flanking unless you catch your opponents off-guard. Not likely to occur, but you never know!
- Red MAs are built to be efficient, not comfortable. This may effect team morale and, eventually, performance. Not a good thing for professional warriors.
Verdant Hegemony
+ The Hegemony combat doctrine of distance makes their MAs the most accurate and grants them the best combat range. Their artillery isn't anything to sneeze at, and can even outclass Imperial artillery!
+ Hegemony MAs are often modular, meaning you can easily scavenge for parts in the field and (somehow) have them fitted to your MA!
- Being so modular, Hegemonny MAs are coveted by minor nations and bandits, being so easy to reverse-engineer. Supplying potentially-belligerent nations can be a problem!
- Their MAs have great accuracy and speed, but these vehicles also lack good defense. Hegemony MAs are not the vehicles to "trade" with when it comes to combat.
This is a military/action quest in which you are the commander of a tank crew. That was likely obvious already, but just in case that wasn't clear . . . now it is! Some things to note: 1) I won't be as active with updates only because of work and currently aiming to enlist in the service. 2) This won't be over-the-top goofiness, but it's not going to be a super-realistic panzer simulator either. Think of it as a sci-fi/semi-realistic war SG (like Ace Combat but with tanks and no hamminess). 3) This will be a short quest. Maybe 1-3 missions IC before the thread is concluded. If this gets love, I may make more in the future. I just thought it was high-time I fleshed this world out!
