Supernerd
Here is an application
At character creation stats are capped at +2, so put two of those wits point elsewhere, then remove one from empathy for your second mutation. Isaacs mutations are:

Goldfinger
One of your fingers is made of gold. It is much harder than the rest of your body and cannot feel pain, though it cannot yet bend.

Faceshift
With some effort, you can completely change your physical appearance, from your hair, to face, to body size. Your goldfinger never changes though.

Perhaps receiving mutations will help decide who you'd like to play first:

Tim Tam:

Fleet Foot
In concentrated bursts, your legs can move at incredible speed, allowing you to sprint short distances faster than the eye can track.

Hydra
If your head, arm, legs, finger, toe, or any other appendage is removed, two more will grow in their place. You start with three fully workable arms.

Millie:

Keen Ears
You have incredible hearing-- when you decide to really listen, you can hear the tiniest and the most distant of sounds.

--
Glass

Amoretto's mutations:

Sonic Boom
You can create an intense blast of sound, enough to knock someone off their feet or more.

Blow Torch Thumb
Your thumb burns with an intense heat, glowing hotter the more you concentrate on it. It sheds light as a candle.

--

Beirus
Theodore's mutation:

Silver Tongue
Your tongue is silver plated though it moves as it did before- only now others find your lies more believable.

---

WyrdByrd

Ed's mutations:

Dermal Poison
Your skin sweats a slime which can paralyze others who come into contact with it.

Laser Blood
When you bleed, your blood shoots intense lasers.

Day One

You all awake, stumbling out of the frozen chamber. You are surrounded by bewildered looking people, their bodies warped and twisted. You look at yourself and realise you too have been changed.

Instead of the greeting party you expected, there is only the dusty hall filled with dozens of other cryochambers. Some of them are still unopened, more still look to have opened some time ago.

You acquaint yourself with the strange people that have also awoken and spread out through the building. This lab is not the one you were frozen in. There are rooms upon rooms of broken machinery, cracked computer monitors. Occasionally you step on bone and glimpse the scrap cloth of old clothing. There is no food here.

The windows are broken open, vines choke the outside of the building. Beyond, you can see the contours of an unknown city, completely overgrown. In the distance, to the far north, you hear what sounds like a single gunshot, or perhaps a car backfiring. To the northeast, you can hear water running. The ruins to the south are so overgrown they are more like a forest.

Finally, on the top floor overlooking  the city, you are greeted by a young man, completely hairless, whose skin looks like rubber.

"Hello everyone! Lot of new faces! I'm Timmy. Timmy Jenkins. (Oh! Theo! You've woken up, I wondered when you would!) Welcome to the end of the world! Time to bounce back!"

As he says this, he falls flat on his back, bounces off the floor and back on to his feet.

"I suppose you'll need to eat, all the others did. That's why they left. I- I just didn't want to leave without my ole buddy."

You may now begin. Put actions you want me to resolve in bold. Talk among yourselves as much as you like. When you want to explore, tell me what direction. (Note, I'm stuck on phone until Saturday so won't update the map until then.) New players can still join.

El Tigre's mutation:
Hand Clamps
Your hands have a metallic skeleton, the metal protruding out of your fingertips. This leaves you with a hard, tenacious vice-like grip.

(I’d like to check: am I resistant to my thumb’s fire?)
(Also, Tigre has self-thematic mutation. Nice.)

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

(Your thumb and the rest of that hand are flame resistant, but you could deliberately burn yourself elsewhere. You'll instictively avoid accidentally setting yourself alight with it.)

Burt's mutations:

Prodigious Growth
You are much taller than you used to be, and with concentration you can grow even bigger still.

Lightning Touch
You can arc electricity from your fingertips.

(Is the slime always being secreted, or do I have control over when, where, and how much?)

(With effort, you can produce it at will wherever on your body you wish, though occasionally it exudes when you least want it to and sometimes it refuses to come at all.)

Right on that, 2 points removed from Weird. Nice stuff.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Keiko wakes up a bit muddled, and heads northwest toward school.

"School Day...."

Needless to say, not quite a school day.

Explore Northwest.
