"Go, Dowak! Drill Peck!" shouts Gentleman Jacques. His opponent, PokéManiac Leo, looks on blankly.

It should come as no surprise that a long beak and diggy claws are effective against a radish, even a psychic one. In a strange combination of the Ground move Dig and the Flying move Drill Peck, Dowak jumps into the air and starts spinning, before diving and burrowing into the ground. Like a shark's fin, displaced earth shows Dowak approaching Mewish as the strings sound pairs of bass tones with increasing urgency, climaxing in a sudden attack from below as Dowak resurfaces to uproot Mewish with his spinning beak.

Dowak's Flying vs Poison-Grass: 5 (x2 grass weakness) = 10
Mewish's Psychic vs Ground: 1 -1 (elite defense) -1 (evolved defense) = -1

Mewish is blasted off into the stratosphere.

"Go, Moltwak! Show 'em Sky Attack, this time for real and not a TM!"
Moltwak glows with divine energy as he throws his club at his opponent. It lands at its feet, not an earnest attack. A target marker. Moltwak leaps high, high into the air, flames bursting from his feet as though from a rocket. At the apex of the jump, Icarian wings flash into existence. They burn into ash almost as fast as they appeared, but they allow Moltwak to briefly strike a pose and eclipse the sun before his dive begins. Fire surrounds Moltwak as he accelerates to supersonic speed, loud bangs announcing the doom of the fool unwise enough to stand by the marker about to be hit with celestial wrath. Upon impact, superheated air throws up dust into a mushroom cloud momentarily hiding the arena from sight. As the dust settles, all eyes turn to the glassy crater...

...in it we either find a legendary bird-meteorite and his unconscious opponent, or an unconscious legendary bird-meteorite whose opponent was wise enough to move away from the marker.

"Use rolling kick!" Sullen John sternly commands his Mafing. The ball rolls over to its flaming bird-headed opponent.

The dust settles and the whole arena is in awe as the legendary Moltwak as formed a rocky core about them, crushing the unfortunate Mafing with an immense meteorite attack.

I know Meteor Mash is a Steel-type move that doesn't exist yet, but I couldn't think of another suitably awesome  way to combine a Flying legendary signature move with Ground. But every good movie ends in a mushroom cloud, right?

No bet on Accel v. William. Betting on William would have a greater-than-one return over a long time, but I think it's wiser to not take the risk and save my money for John v. William, which William literally can't lose.

With their current roster, yeah. But Sullen John has enough money to buy up to two common pokemon, and sell one of them or Zubat, for a choice of one of 6 possible pokefusions, of which one of them is bound to be good against Alaking.
