Classic Boardgames

My friend is learning about forum games, and I recommended playing a board game on forums would help him smoothly learn with something familiar to fall back on.

I was thinking Chess, or Checkers. But I wanted to ask what (short, simple) board games might be of interest already.

What would you like to play?

It's time for lesson one in Forum Games: Swarm Logic. It will not always be the same person replying. That is rare. Usually there's a herd of maybe-players with it too.

Can you assign a number and letter like pawn moves to c7 or d7, it'll be easier to keep track.
