Priscilla laughed and leant forward slightly to pat Rowan on the shoulder.
"Now, now. No need to be down on your capabilites on foot."
She paused for a moment before she added mischievously:
"After all, you wouldn't be my match if you were mounted either."
She offered an amused smirk as she leant back fully upright.
"I know the basics of horse care, of course, though most was taken care of by the servants. Still, it's enough to serve on campaign without worrying it'll drop dead."
"As you say, miss Frost - a horse may not be cheap, but it at least it'll save you aching feet."

"Maybe after these... troubles... are over then." Jill tells Rowan with a pleased bob of her head. "Assuming we all come out of this with enough spare time and lack of new mayhem for me to actually be a proper student."

Glancing over at Priscilla, Jill shrugs. "At least I'm not wearing as much armor as you, miss Priscilla. Mine can be enough of a bother without heavy armor, and you're a proper knight, with the gear to match that status..."

Rowan smirks in response to Priscilla's words.

"When peace has returned, Palewing and I will make you eat those words."

His focus then returns to Jill again.

"Who knows, if you're doing exceptionally well today, knighthood may be your reward in the end? Then you can afford the equipment and the training to become just like Priscilla, a slug with a shell of steel."

A light chuckle escapes his lips.

"And I suppose you have a winged slug with a shell of steel, by way of analogy?"
Erica speaks up as she accepts rescue, a raised eyebrow and a dry tone to her voice.
