Alrighty, with Staffs up for grabs, what was our planned spending in total again? I believe we planned ~1000 on a Heal, looks like we could grab its D-rank relative instead, be less dead as a result. I mean, I can't remember names and effects off the top of my head, but I'm mostly sure that there's something good in there. Mend? Is that the Super-Heal?

Mend is essentially heal+, yeah, 10 higher base healing.

It's not a bad idea. We can pick up Mend within the same budget, or still pick up Heal and have 300 more gold left over than planned (may be useful, you never know). Mend has less QL but has 10 more base healing - usually MAG growth would outstrip the staff's bases and make Mend not very useful, but it may be useful at this relatively early point in the game considering Alys hasn't had much luck with MAG procs so far.

That's just my two cents though.

Alright. Is it possible to hot-swap staffs, like, whack someone with a paper-cut with Heal, then Mend the person with their arm cut off the next turn? In any case, I'm leaning towards Alys separating from the group, getting lost, winding up at Rods, and snagging Mend on "Uh, S-Steelhart's tab? If that's a thing, that is..." after which she gets guided back to the main party by some friendly locals.

And yes, you can change what staff you want to use with a given action every time.
