Okay. But only a limited number in each city, okay?
Look for evidence of werewolf attacks. Do some research on their weaknesses.
You prowl around the forest. (4)You find all the evidence of camping; a blackened pit smelling of smoke, random pieces of trash, broken branches, and holes where there used to be a tent . Wait, you smell something. Faintly metallic, and right under the bushes, you find a mutilated guy. You hold your breath, and push the branches, to reveal that his chest is ripped open. Well, you’re reasonably certain that werewolves like innards.
"Well that was easy." *goes to holster his pistol, and then remembers what almost always happens when things go too well. puts the pistol in the holster anyways, but leaves the strap (a bit of leather so the pistol doesn't fall out if I bend over or something) open so as to make drawing the gun faster.*
can I have a roll for tempting fate by saying things went well? And then a roll to see if I can figure out what you want me to do next.
You double dog dare fate to give you hell. (4)It responds. You see a man in a large trench coat with sunglasses, who breaks into a run towards you. (5) you immediately pull out the Webley and tell him to show his face. Stunned, her debates whether to comply or not.
Look around the town for any supernatural spooky stuff.
(6) before even stepping out the car, a malevolent spirit locks the doors, pumps the accelerator, and drives you towards the potato farms. (1) as you try to steer the car, it pops a tire, and you flip over, 5 or 6 times. (4)luckily, you were relatively unharmed, and the car is dented and scratched. Upside down, you say “Ow. That was unexpected.”
Name: Samuel Martin
Appearance: 22, 5'10". Somewhat pale. Purple tinted black hair (dyed, obviously), violet eyes, and rectangular glasses. Wears an old US Army jacket, blue jeans, and a t-shirt of some kind. Combat boots for shoes.
Backstory: Just bad luck got him into this I guess. That and a mildly unhealthy interest in mythology and the supernatural creatures that exist therein. Was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and saw a friend getting killed. Decided that rather than live in fear for all his life, he'd go and make these creatures live in fear of him... Crack shot with a pistol, owns a Webley MK6 and Ithaca M37 because of their ease of use and historical background. Loves anything WW2 related.
STR:1
DEX:2
KNW:2, Sam knows all of the basic knowledge of mythos (anything you can find with an hour's work on Wikipedia) and a lot of more arcane knowledge from obscure books (an even mix of fictional books and nonfiction mythological books)
Skills: Mechanic. Sam's fascination with history has led him to purchase and restore numerous old vehicles of historical significance. He also has a large pool of mostly WW2 vehicles that probably have illegal armaments. The hard part is getting permits to drive them.
Gun Nut: Again, Sam's WW2 interests means he has a number (like 30) of functional replica and original weapons from 1920-1950, some automatic, most semi. Lots of ammo for about half of them. He always carries his Webley and keeps the Ithaca in his truck
Vengeful Crusader: Sam's in this for the long haul. He wants to make sure he can be safe, and so can everyone else. He loves mythology, but when the monster jump out of the page and try to kill him, and succeed in killing his friend, well... Anyways, he has massive amounts of supplies, and just about everything he can think of that a monster would be weak to. He even as a crossbow with bolts of wood, for low risk vampire killing. He doesn't even know if vampires exist, he just wants to be ready.
Inventory: Webley MK6 .45 revolver, 5 speed reload clips of silver bullets.
M37 Ithaca slamfire shotgun (that means if the trigger is held down, it'll fire a shot everytime you pump it), with about 36 shells total, in convenient little holders.
2-way radio, and a spare radio on the same frequency, just in case.
Lock pick set. Knows how to pick simple locks, at least.
Silver paratrooper knife, and a silver plated kukri (essentially a machete).
Glasses, Canteen of water, 3 more in the truck, a flask of whiskey (for medicinal purposes I swear), and a pretty big medical kit.
3DS with about 6 games. 2 or 3 books. Smartphone. Two laptops: one for gaming and a more robust one for field work.
$929.00
Vehicle: M3 Scout truck, made by White Truck Company. Hidden under a tarp is the .30 cal M1919 that it has a mount for; obviously that's hilariously illegal, but they manufacture semi-auto versions of the 1919, so if anyone asks that's what it is. Back of the truck has seats and supplies. Sam's planned for a long trip.
