Prophecy: X’arilyg will survive the an upcoming combat roll between him and his rivals.
That's hardly a fair prophecy given that X'arilyg is unwounded and can therefore survive one failure guaranteed...

Acter takes one leftover Greater Essence back from Tachyon and infuses it into himself.

Ema: a Story of Gods
(OOC)

Cycle 12: Cataclysm

Ema closed her eyes for an instant, entering a deep slumber. Time stopped with her. For the Gods, who were outside of the flow, this sleep lasted several Cycles. But to the World, bound by Time, not a Cycle passed. Not even an instant.

Ema opened her eyes, renewed. Time resumed its flow.

------Mavnon------

Mavnon physically carried Tycho the Gravity Hamster to Buroa, after which the Goddess travelled the world, asking mortals their opinion about a "personal Dreamworld". The answers are many and diverse, depending on each mortals understanding. No real consensus can be reached from her wandering.

Mavnon then creates a Region in the middle of the Dexoth Ocean, notaustralia Tranullis. An arid landscape rich in classic minerals of all kind, ranging from iron to uranium. She then creates a species of Plants, the Gympie Gimps, and place them in the most fertile place of Tranullis.

Spoiler: Gympie Gimps (Plants) (click to show/hide)

------Kel------

Kel cast a Blessing on the Region of Tarrant, granting the Dwarves newfound desire to innovate and self-rule in order to break tradition and stagnation. At the same time, the Iron Servitors received a new maxim to better serve the Dwarves.

------Gasnareth Imrep------

Gasnareth Imrep sent the brainwashed hero, Maxin, to clash with Adriot. The God then cursed the Theropods with Chicken Pox.
Quote
A Strange disease which both slowly reduces the intelligence of the infected's descendants towards an animal like level, while also providing a drive for those who are infected to bite and consume those who aren't. This disease is passed on through Saliva and other bodily fluids, as well it is passed on to the descendants of those whom are infected. this disease can be identified from the red oozy sores which appear upon those whom are afflicted's bodies.

------Tachyon Everlord------

Tachyon Everlord mourned the disappearance of the Darselav Empire, and descended into the Mortal Realm to thrust a Keystone of his creation into the devastated Anchor: the Matallix Arcana Blades.

Tachyon Everlord then called out to the Carver of Destiny to write a prophecy, yet the latter remained stoic and uncaring of the Major God's plea. Later on, the God crafted the Gemini Amulet. As a living entity, this artifact was a Greater Servant.

------Manannan Silverhand------

Manannan Silverhand returned to its Realm in the Divine Plane. Combining the Essences into a mighty Quintessence, the God then crafted a new Keystone of Destruction, the Spirit Needle.

------Foxmox------

Foxmox warned its Servants of the existence of Adriot the Legend, and crafted a Heroic Artifact for Nicolai: the Cool Shades. He then created a Greater Law over the Fertile Continent.

------**/*****/**/*------

**/*****/**/* uplift the Paint Wolves and cast a blessing of fertility on several Regions containing Mortals. The Regions controlled by the Dexoths are left out, as they cover far too great a territory for the Minor God.

------Manannan, Elmedo and Mpaïspmapma------

The Minor Gods Manannan Silverhand, Elmedo and Mpaïspmapma have a frolic together, pouring Essence into the act in order to ease the conception of a demigod.

The Cow, the Water and the Youth became one. Once the act done, they waited a bit, curious about what kind of being would be born from their three-way session. A drifting hair from the Cow's tail tickled the Youth's nose, which made him inhale some of the drops of Water left on his body. Then with a great sneeze, the Youth produced a great agglomerate of divine snot which fell straight into the Brumous Lake.

An enormous platypus of golden snot emerged from the Lake, its regal rooster crest proudly risen heavenward.

A bit later Mpaïspmapma named its child with the System Galina, after which it sent it off to Kel. Manannan Silverhand secretly left for Elmedo's Realm in the Divine Plane to watch over the ensuing fight.

------The Fate of Adriot and the Theropods------

Events converged toward the Legend known as Adriot. Despite being a mere mortal, his deeds earned him the ire of many Gods...

[Gasnareth Imrep secretly gave 3 Destiny Coins to the Carver of Destiny to make sure Adriot would perish.]

X'arilyg secretly infused Adriot with an Essence so that he may defend himself. Then the Major God went straight for the head of the Primordial God, Acter Nobody.

Eris and Discordia secretly went back to their Realm in the Other Plane, from which they crafted a Greater Law affecting the Iris Moonsoon Forest in order to eradicate all the Theropods present.

**/*****/**/* first attacked Adriot personally, descending from the Divine Plane. At the same time, Gasnareth Imrep conjured a Mountain out of thin air right above the Iris Moonsoon Forest, and dropped it on Adriot. To further complement its plan, the God also cast a Curse of Sluggishness all over the Region.

The empowered Adriot clashed with **/*****/**/*, resisting the Curse with ease.

Adriot: [12]+[16]
**/*****/**/*: [28]+[1]
Adriot has been Wounded
Adriot: [10]+[9]
**/*****/**/*: [24]+[4]
Adriot has been Struck Down

Before the Mountain could crash down on the Iris Moonsoon Forest, **/*****/**/* fought with Adriot and killed him after a fearsome clash.

[Thus, **/*****/**/*, Gasnareth Imrep and Foxmox's prophecy came to pass]
Quote
Adriot will die by the hand of a god.
Quote
Adriot will be defeated in an extremely ridiculous manner by Cycle 14!
Quote
"Adriot will Die, And with his death he will not be buried in a tomb nor other structure made by his kind, he will be buried deep beneath the ground where none will remember its place baring the gods."
**/*****/**/*, Gasnareth Imrep and Foxmox's standing nudged a little.
Ema frowned: "Uninspiring..."

The mountain then crashed on the Iris Moonsoon Forest, razing everything below, and creating a twisted region of sharp and thorny mountains.

------X'arilyg and Acter Nobody------

X'arilyg secretly empowered itself with a Greater Essence, and wielding the Information Processor, he charged at Acter Nobody who empowered itself with a Greater Essence. Razel attempted to help the Primordial God as well by handing him Rykan's Bag of Tricks.

Razel: [2]
X'arilyg: [6]
Acter Nobody: [6]

Barely in time, the Bag of Tricks reached the Ascended One's hands. From it, Acter Nobody drew forth Rykan's Scimitar and faced his assailant.

X'arilyg: [28]-[2]+[13]+[13]=52
Acter Nobody: [19]+[1]+[18]+[15]=53
[X'arilyg has been wounded]

Having lost the effect of surprise, X'arilyg was unable to match the power of Acter Nobody. They fought with unchecked rage in the Mortal Plane, in the space between Dirt and the Moon.

[3] Several stray shots struck Dirt in a few of its energy conduits, locations through which flow a great amount of Dirt's energy. This wound disrupted Dirt's flow of energy, resulting in cataclysms appearing all over Dirt.

X'arilyg: [19]-[6]+[8]+[12]=33
Acter Nobody: [14]+[2]+[10]+[15]=41
[X'arilyg is at the mercy of Acter]

The Gods clashed once more, and X'arilyg's fierce energy started to wane before the relentless assaults of Acter Nobody. And finally, Acter Nobody overpowered X'arilyg, leaving him no chance of counterattacking or even acting. If he chose so, the Primordial God could kill the Major God without anyone being able to interfere.

[3] The second clash once more led to collateral damage. This time the Moon was hit, causing the divine energy to boil a great part of the Sea and violently shifting the Moon's climate.

------Non-Player Gods------

Helyx leisurely kept expanding the Dexoth Ocean, causing it to cover nearly half of Dirt.

------Votes------

Quote from: Votes
Helyx (NPC): [2] (Ma'Rook)
Manannan Silverhand (Maximum Spin): [2] (Elmedo, Eris and Discordia)
Razel the Beast of Battle (darkwarlock3): [3] (Gasnareth, Tachyon)

Ma'Rook (Roboson): [3] (Helyx, X'arilyg)
Eris and Discordia: [1] (Kel)

------Prophecies------

The Gods were busy scribbling furiously on the Slab of Prophecies.

Manannan Silverhand: A god will die.

Kel: "The Imperium will, with time, become the greatest power on Dirt."

Mpaïspmapma:
"Of seventeen divines there are,
Two young gods who interest me:
The Brame who sees with many star,
And fickle currents of the Sea.
Although the Brame has many arms,
Although the Brame lacks not acclaim,
The Brame shall suffer Final Harm,
Should the Sea march 'gainst the Brame.
"

Gasnareth Imrep: "Adriot will Die, And with his death he will not be buried in a tomb nor other structure made by his kind, he will be buried deep beneath the ground where none will remember its place baring the gods."

Foxmox: "Adriot will be defeated in an extremely ridiculous manner by Cycle 14!"

**/*****/**/*: "Adriot will die by the hand of a god."

Mavnon: "X’arilyg will kill a god in the next combat roll involving him."

Ma'Rook: "A diety will remake themself anew"

X'arilyg: ”The Adroit Empire shall survive even with all these perky inconveniences this Cycle

Razel: the hero maxin well be wounded by Adriot and give the gremnear a chance to rebel against his tyranny

Tachyon Everlord: "The ashes of an empire, a king roaming the lands, the people without guidance, the gods that wage a new war. The king will roam the lands making the legacy and tragedy known to all of creation. Another will roam the lands. They both will craft a legend until they meet where the empire once stood. When both see each other, the war in the heavens will cease, and a new empire will be born. The people do not worry, and will pick up where it once was will be again, stronger than before."

CARVER TURN

And thus on the Twelfth Cycle, Mortals came to know, and fear, the rage of the Gods...

------On Dirt: the Cataclysm------

The Annihilation of the Iris Moonsoon Forest:
In one mortal instant, countless years of mortal history disappeared without a trace. Those who saw and survived the dawn of the Cataclysm will never forget the terrible events they witnessed.

A God conjured a Mountain, and the Mountain fell on Dirt. As the Mountain crashed on Dirt, everything under it disappeared. No soul or construction survived the disaster, erasing the Adriot Empire once for all.

The Adriot Empire has disappeared, erased by the rage of the Gods.
Maxin, who was sent to face Adriot, died during the disaster.
The Iris Moonsoon Forest and all its inhabitants have disappeared, replaced by the Crown of Thorns.

The Alliance of the Two Wings [Civil and Religious War]:
The Cataclysm didn't seriously affect the Alliance, only causing minor climate disturbances.

Several reports came to the Alliance, telling of the horrific destruction of the Iris Moonsoon Forest and the Adriot Empire. The rumors and facts pertaining to this event caused a massive frenzy among the Alliance, causing it to break down into a civil war between the numerousfaithful citizens of the Alliance and the fewer much less pious citizens.

At the same time, Tycho was sent by Mavnon to Buroa. The disturbance of Dirt caused the Hamster to lose control over its powers, rampaging in the Oamakian lands.

Tycho: [8]
Buroa: [4]
Buroa has been wounded
Tycho: [10]
Buroa: [5]
Buroa has been struck down

Buroa couldn't stop Tycho, who killed Buroa and then razed a whole city. With the death of Buroa and the civil war, all magical progress stopped.
Faithful Faction: [2]+1
Other Faction: [1]

The civil war ended as the revolutionary overthrew the Maoth Senate and shortly thereafter the Werchikote King. The Alliance split then split into two Theocracies, and most of the opposing faction members were sacrificed to the Gods. The few surviving supporters of the old regime retreated to a faraway region in the Fertile Continent, guided by the Lifetwister and bringing along with them the Artifacts of the Werchikote Royal Treasure.

The Alliance of the Two Wings (Oamoak and Werchiko) crumbled in the fires of civil war.
The Fachika Theocracy, the Aokoa Theocracy and the Alliance Remnants have risen.

The Kingdom of Maxin:
The Cataclysm didn't seriously affect the Kingdom of Maxin, only causing minor climate disturbances.
With the death of Maxin, the Zixni executed their master's last command:"Choose a King among yourselves, one that won't obey to the Gods." The Zixni, who were no longer simple-minded after consuming the souls of mortals, seriously thought about the matter. In the end, the corruptive influence of the mortal souls caused them to reject their loyalty, and chose a ruler among themselves to sit atop the Throne.

This famous Zixni, Number 38 Who Rules, led the Kingdom of Maxin with an iron grip tighter than Maxin himself, who was being limited by Gasnareth's control. Despite his cruel treatment of its subjects, or maybe because of it, Number 38 Who Rules managed to shape the Kingdom of Maxin into a formidable country in a short amount of time.

Great monuments, temples, palaces and fortresses were built all over the Jungle. Assimilating more and more souls, the Zixni, who formed the elite, became smarter and smarter, leading the Kingdom of Maxin toward greatness at the cost of the blood of the "lesser people".

Thneomi:
The Cataclysm tragically affected Thneomi...
The disturbance of Dirt's Flow caused the Dread Mountains to turn into an active volcanic area. All of a sudden, a terrible bellow rose from the earth, and great cracks coursed all over the Dread Mountains. The sky turned dark, and the white Mountains turned to a reddish, devilish glow... And the energetic magma of Dirt rose from its bowels, vomited by the mountains into rains and torrents of deadly lava.

Not even the magic of the Drogos could save Thneomi, which ended up engulfed by scorching ashes and searing lava. No one survived.

Thneomi has disappeared, destroyed by the Cataclysm.
The Dread Mountains are now an active volcanic area.

The Dwarven Imperium:
The Cataclysm tragically affected the Dwarven Imperium...
A sudden and magical shift in the climate caused the Tarrant region to turn into an arctic desert. All vegetation and animals died, only the most resistant insects surviving the terrible cold.

The Iron Servitors were notably affected by the unnatural cold, at best only slowing, and at worse completely deactivating. Some settlements were left without Servitors, causing them to quickly disappear.

Only the Dwarves of the Bastion survived, thanks to the few Servitors left there. To escape the mortal cold of the surface, the Dwarves of the Bastion retreated to hastily dug underground tunnels. Though they escaped the elements, their respite was only temporary. Food reserves were decreasing, and all plantlife and animals above had died. Some species of fish had miraculously survived, which helped the Dwarves avoid complete extinction. Two Dwarven groups now existed. The ones of the Bastion, for who the Servitors fished. A nomadic tribe of Dwarves, having quickly repurposed everything they had to survive the cold. They traveled from rivers to lake, sustaining themselves on the scarce fishes, trying to escape from Tarrant.

The Demons of the Lesser Sphere 1:
Demons of the Lesser Spheres have discovered manga.

The Paint Wolves:
The Cataclysm tragically affected the Paint Wolves...
A week long thunderstorm wiped out the Paint Wolves from the surface of Dirt.

------The Dexoth Ocean------
The Cataclysm affected the Dexoth Dominions...

Perception of the Cataclysm consequences:
The Dexoths were greatly worried by the Cataclysm, and poured all their science and minds to understanding its consequences. Altogether, they quickly made a fascinating discovery: the Cataclysm had caused the flow of Dirt's energy to fluctuate, creating unstable but highly potent places of magic. Understanding the tremendous value of these locations, called Nodes by the Dexoths, the Dominions waged war among themselves to control the Nodes.

Kor'Shugareth moved its palace-capital to a Node of great power, exploiting it to strengthen its powers and rule. Knowing they couldn't control their greed, the Dexoths agreed on rules about the coming wars. No more than two Dominions were allowed to fight over a Node, and any Dexoth breaking the rules would be labelled a Renegade, removing them from the rules.

Several Dominions disappeared in the coming clashes, and those which survived became stronger than ever before. They also started being able to sense and study the Flow of Dirt, causing them to be able to predict natural disasters.

Tranullis:
The Cataclysm spared Tranullis.

------The Moon------
The changes of the Moon's climate have affected its denizens...

The Incilatro and the Starborns:
It is said by the Incilatro and Starborn Elders that on the Day of Change, the heavens turned to fire and the seas vanished in a blinding light. The air was scorching and the skies were weeping endless deluges of blistering rain. Many died that day, and the land forever changed.

Following that day, the alarmed Fyrma returned to check on her kin. She saved many, yet also chastized all of them, telling them the Day of Change was but divine punishment for their complacency. At first everyone yelled in protest, but soon came to accept their new and harsh reality.

Fruit-bearing trees died or gave few and unpalatable fruits. The creatures of the Moon also became increasingly more vicious and savage, even the herbivorous and frugivorous creatures turned to flesh, disturbed by the changes on the Moon and the lack of food.

Using their gifts and the wisdom of Fyrma, the Incilatro-Starborn community changed, and survived. They became much more hardened and ruthless in their exploitation of their environment. Large tracts of jungle were deforested to build reinforced settlements, and the newly discovered magic was abused to great extent with one goal: survive and outlast.

------Adventures of Great Beings------

Nicolai and Thousandtails:
The two Greater Servants couldn't reach Razel's Jungle this turn, because of the Cataclysm slowing their jounrey.

Popool:
Popool became, in an odd twist of fate, the Arch Hierophant of the Aokoa Theocracy. It instaured dance and songs as a way of worshipping.

Opera:
Opera appeared at the most unexpected place: in the Dominion of Kor'Shugareth, the Grand Lord of the Ocean. For a reason the Lesser Servant could not explain, she wished to follow and assist Kor'Shugareth. The amused and interested Dexoth took Opera under his wing, thus learning of the many civilizations...

Mavnon:
Mavnon took care of some lost mortals, creating a new folklore.

Talavars legacy:
The Cataclysm ended up forcing Talavars to undergo unwanted shock therapy, restoring its mind. With the few survivors of the Anchor, they lived crude but peaceful lives in the ravaged Anchor.

Galina:
The bound Galina struggled against the grip of the God, powerless as they were shipped to Kel.

Tycho, the Platypus... and the Catgoo?!:
Tycho just left to wander to the Brumous Lake, sensing a potential playmate that wouldn't break. He met with the Platypus, and the two beings became friends. They together had fun tricking the Mortals, leading to the desertion of the Brumous Lake by Mortals.

The events that ultimately led to the evacuation of Mortal settlements was the rebirth of the Catgoo. The strange creature felt a connection forming with the hamster and the platypus, and also became their friend. The strange trio ended up resuming their fun adventures.

------Artifacts------

The Pupil Portal Emplacement, the Everfull Chest of Super Awesome Foods:
Location still unknown to Mortals.

Tachyon looks at the burnt landscape of Anchor and its neighboring mountains

"Reminds me of home."

"Ash, brimstone, lava. The Drogos will call this hell. Your creatures are on the edge, my lord, what will you do?"

"Take this in painful stride to begin with. The land of Anchor must be modified, starting with severing the landmasses from each other."

"Why not restore this place with your divine might, my lord? It would be a simple solution rather than severing the land."

"And you have not been listening to my words."

Tachyon puts all of his essence this turn, and any help from others, to restore Anchors natural beauty and to sever Anchor from the mainland aside from a artificial or natural bridge to connect the continent back to the mainland.

"Let this be enough for them to recover from their troubles."
