Forces of the Aeons - A Worldbuilding Gridbased Game
« on: April 16, 2018, 04:54:04 pm »

Welcome Bay12er.
In this game we will have a Grid set up by me in which different forces of nature work to create a world together. As soon as the grid is filled with tiles the next stage emerges but for now it works like this:
There is four sectors on the Grid.
A1-M13 known as Sector 1
A14-M26 known as Sector 2
N1-Z13 known as Sector 3
N14-Z26 known as Sector 4

There will be 13 Forces, 13 Players who play the game at this stage. If we can't round up so many players we will think of something.

To begin playing one must Submit a: I am in!
As soon as there is 13 players or in say two days we play the game. Once the required number is playing then I give you a random aspect. You play as a primordial force of this aspect and try to strengthen its existance on this new forming reality.
In each turn every player will submit FOUR landscapes on locations on the maps, giving correct coordinates. No land can be changed and altered once set. At least in this phase of the game.
The landscapes are in between existance and void, so as long as the land is not completed there will be no land on the planet. Once the world is created the players will get to create animals or species of plants, though it is asumed that while the world is still constructed there is earthlike plants to make the landscapes look like what they are supposed to look like.

The players may choose from this list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_landforms#Landforms_by_process when creating their four landscapes per turn.

Please submit your entries :)

Edit: Thank you to the many forum game creators on the Bay12. Through the years I have played many games and experienced highly interesting stories or concepts and ideas played out. I also have witnessed the insanity. I would like to point out that I have taken inspiration from Gridhood12, Ye Gods Series, Titans of Creations, The Creators, the SPAM series and many more.

Any future games will be simpler in nature, I have a bad habit of biting off more than I can chew. Also hoping for more players in them.

I have Discord for my games now(not necessary to play, tho might be easier to contact me): https://discord.gg/DuaARAZ

Sorry, Robo.
Though if we could be calling dibs, I'd dibs Hope.

I would like to suggest that "ghost" should be a primordial element.

"I am in!"

I'd merge the five sensory forces into one Perception, as they are rather narrow.

There's also Lust but no Love, and Hope but no Faith.

If there aren't enough players, further merging of some of the forces into Energy and Matter would give the list some very broad options as well.
