I have to ask, what number did you pick tiruin?...Also, I probably shouldn't say this but since I pay attention to what the CCP does irl...I wonder if a particular player has to deal with them...

I too wonder what everyone picked. It's interesting information and potentially useful for the next time I have a similar challenge. It's interesting because of how essentially nobody ever actually picks 1 even though it's supposed to be inevitable that everyone will.

What's this about number-picking?

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

Waitlisters were told to pick a number between 1 and 10, second-highest number gets in.

I picked a number lower then 9, but higher then 5. That's all I will say.

number lower than 9
But of course. Nobody can pick 10, as it would have to be the highest. Ergo, you can't pick 9 because nobody will pick 10.
Hypothetically that goes further down, but you also can't pick 1 because you're going against more than 1 other person, so you can't be second-highest if you do pick it. And because of the two contrasting requirements, strategy is born.

...So when will anyone bother to post anything in the IC? :-\ It's been pretty quiet and giving particularly useless feelings to be snubbed by everyone else. >_<

Well, I can post if you want, but I don't think Ghazkull would like that right now. Jokes aside, to those who haven't posted I have to say, in the immortal words, GET ON WITH IT!

I've no idea what's okay >_< Other than no point of reference (maybe because he's busy :-X but I'm lost in that 'is this situation something I can speak in, because it's also feeling like a disconnect if I couldn't speak about it), I'm wondering if the starting nations did anything about the ISS incident.

They got an entire orbital to space fleet behind nuclear countermeasures, sending a rocket with diplomats will have varying results. Maybe we can paint it lovely colors like pink, and have it with big bold letters stage CONVOY. Also shouting with radar microphones stating we COME IN PEACE

Also yeah, it would nice if their was a little more context where nation intervention would go

I'm still waiting for my turn summary. I won't have anything to go on until then.

As far as I recall--we've got F15 jets. I'll be rambling to increase my political power on the world stage to point out various forms of 'what defenses we got' and 'technically we have the ol' 5 permanent security council members to coordinate world defenses', and noting that our satellite network hasn't blown up yet for some reason.

Which is why I'm implicitly assuming it's partly political. :P

Oh! I thought everyone else got theirs. I didn't get mine yet.

I'll be sad if this dies, because it seemed a pretty interesting idea. But oh well.
