The difference isn't too substantial. I feel as though the original was more satire based and the latter was more gamey. The biggest break comes from the torture system being simplified and the procedural generation removed, IMO.

There's also the fact the player had to select himself the issues to speak about to a civilian.

Never played the original LCS, unfortunately. The non-simplified torture system and procedural generation sounds interesting, though.
