And purchased! Next few days are going to be pretty busy, but I'll see if I can take the time on Saturday to give it a whirl and write a review for it.

Patched the game up to 1.1.3 today: Patch notes
Sorry I haven't updated the thread too much since release—it launched semi-broken and has had a lot of playability/major balance fixes since 1.0.0. Today's patch adds tutorials for first-time players and fixes a huge bug with unlocks. I haven't really had a chance to touch it since late December thanks to having to get back into doing music work for other devs, but it's looking like I'll have a few free weeks to fix and add content to this game.

I think if there's no major problems with the game from a functional standpoint, finally I can get started on what 1.2.x brings (diorama mode? new combat system? who knows!)

Could *really* use the ability to move the windows around. I have a LOT of real estate open on my laptop when I play this, and having everything crammed over each other in one quadrant is annoying. It looks like you should be able to pin/move them, but trying to drag them around doesn't do anything.

You have to click the anchor button in the top left hand corner and hold the mouse button while you drag it around. The alert and encounter windows can't be moved, but every UI window can.

Nobody's really had a problem with figuring it out up to this point so it never crossed my mind to ever point it out

Might be a resolution issue. Everything is very small on my laptop resolution, so I didn't even realize that it was an anchor.

In the game as it is, you visit 8 different towns in order to trade goods based on local market pricing. That's nice and all, but aside from having unique map icons and different internal tiers that determine starting goods, there is not really much differentiating them or giving you a sense of the space Ruho is occupying that week.

So, as part of the big push for a career mode and a truly expanded game, the next major update will include these little isometric towns where you can:
  • Interact with NPCs
  • Participate in optional time-dependent story events
  • Visit some restaurants to fill up a food collection journal
  • Purchase a house (Uses tokens; career mode would have additional available properties)

I want to overhaul player stats, classes, and combat at a later date. Part of the changes I want to include with the Towns update is an in-game reference/journal that catalogues the game's setting and comes with help files.

On the cityscape maps, you'll see little pop-bubbles that show you NPCs you can visit and places to grab a meal (and what type of meal):
