((Asha's telepathy is disconnected from the three within the labyrinth, and vice/versa.  Also, next update Tuesday the 14th, assuming at least three players have posted.))



As the three girls gather themselves, the first thing they notice is the strange light in the labyrinth.  It's a warm orange-red color, like the setting sun, but when they look into the sky, it's clearly the middle of the night.  Much of the sky is obscured by syrupy stormclouds, but above them is a vast array of alien stars--strange angular shapes, too close, too numerous, and bathing the world in that disconcerting orange glow.  Everything is affected by it; the clouds especially look composed of heavy orange syrup, but even the water below reflects the light strangely. 

The wide river is a beautiful azure blue, but the opaque water reflects the starscape above, sparkles of bright orange dotting the surface.  It's a wide river, easily thirty feet across, the water near the shore covered by many garishly colored lilypads.  Above those, on both shores, rise two tall walls of enormous flowers, blocking sight of both the ground, and the landscape beyond the river.  Each of the flowers looks carefully folded from some semitransparent plastic sheet, crumpled to provide structure, and you can ever-so-barely see stalks through them.  They, and the lilypads they hang just low enough to touch, are mostly vibrant greens and yellows, though there's rare violet, pink, indigo, and scarlet exceptions dotted about.

The boat slowly drifts forward, away from the oddly quiet waterfall behind it, which rains down from a particularly low and heavy cloud.  Despite the massive waterflow feeding it, the river is calm and smooth.  The lazy ride, combined with the colorful surroundings and warm glow from above, gives a relaxed dreamlike air to the world.  When voiceless music starts flowing in from somewhere far ahead, everyone aboard the boat relaxes, back into their seats or, in Mina's case, against the clay man's legs.  Everyone except for Tooru; she feels put off by the alien environment, and stands up anxiously, feeling very isolated and lonely all of a sudden.

Leave the wounded guy to Asha. Investigate the darkness that ate the boat, then also enter the labyrinth.

Accept Memento and wear it immediately.

"The ride in was kinda fun, but this place is weeeeird."[/color] Tooru looked about at the environment she found herself in. It was probably supposed to be relaxing, luring in people or something, but there was a quality to it that made her feel deeply uncomfortable. Not to mention she was a little nervous about running out of magic. Her necklace was barely glowing any more. . . Still, she signed up for this, right? She was hunting the evildoers and saving people, that was good. Tooru hesitantly prods at the water with anything convenient; should nothing of note happen, she tests it with a finger before withdrawing quickly. Should nothing happen with that, she proceeds forward.

Asha gasped. The boat had disappeared with the three magical girls, leaving her alone with the newcomer... And would the others be okay by themselves in the labyrinth? They were altogether, but still, she felt uneasy and a bit guilty for first suggesting to board the boat.

She noticed Sasha heading toward the entrance of the labyrinth. Panic was starting to brew inside her mind, and she took a deep breath to keep it together. Her heart was beating rapidly from the excitation. And with a slightly wavering voice, she said to Sasha:
"Don't stray too far! We must stay together."

Then she proceeded to tend to the rescued people, checking them for any physical, mental or soul injuries.

Get off the boat and move onto the land.  Keep a clear sight of where we came in, and stay out in the open so that I can be easily seen by newcomers.

"Hold on, we shouldn't go too far from the entrance until we're all back together.  This place seems safe enough, but we got seperated last time and I had to fight on my own and almost got killed.  Lets stick together this time.. I'm sure Asha and the russian girl will come in soon, and I don't want them to have to look for us.. someone will get lost and we'll get killed alone."

Sasha didn't really care about the wounded. She didn't knew them and she trusted that Asha was capable of healing them with her powers. Right now, all she wanted was to follow the others and face the labyrinth. This is what she came here for!

"But Asha, I can't stay here and do nothing... I have to fight witch and prove that I'm useful to team! I'll be fine, other girls are also inside!"

Mina staggered to her feet, mostly on her own ability since the clay man hardly provided a solid handhold. "This place doesn't seem to bad... at least not compared to the last one." she notes. She dusts herself off. "Everyone's ok right? Hold on, I'll look around a bit..." she asks.

As the others disembark, Mina does too. She uses her magical senses, trying to see if anything nearby is dangerous.

"It's... not like I don't understand you know. I want to go help too, but I don't want to get in the way either. Ah!"

Her new powers came to mind.

"Sasha! Come here before going further! Take this and keep it close to you. It will let me know about your situation... I think."

Using Memento, Asha created a clear blue ribbon for Sasha to wear.

"Once I am done checking the victims, I will come with you."

(Nakéen, can you please not ditch us in the labrynth for RP reasons again?  This isn't even the first time you've done it to Alida specifically.  Right now she's too drugged to care about it, but with this being the second time, I think she'll be genuinely angry at you sitting on your ass being useless.)

(Of course, if you want Asha to be called out for being useless IC, just keep doing nothing.  Unless Alida keeps missing Purity checks to stay a little dopey, she's going to be furious at having to ditch victims and leave the labrynth to gather a party member.)

Sasha recalls again what Pumsy said, about how she was the key to cure her Grandpa and how the teams exist to protect each other. But before she can say something else, she's distracted by the blue ribbon and quickly forgets what she was about to say.

"...Oh my! It's so pretty! Thanks! You can also create accessories and have telepathy? That is so amazing! Wow, I can't wait to make my wish and also get powers!"

She excitedly accepts the ribbon and immediately wears it.

"I bet I look great with it, don't you think? Don't worry, I'll never lose it! I always keep gifts with me, but no one has gifted me anything since..."
Two years ago.
"...Long time. I never had any friends."


Sasha adjusts her scarf for a moment while staring at the darkness.

(Everyone goes that-a-way, save for one person.)

"Hey, shouldn't you catch up with your friends?"

"I can't follow my friends, we might get seperated from each other!"

"That's stupid.  They're over there, you're over here, you seperated yourself by not following them."

(I'm sorry, Nakéen, but that's being stupid.  You know exactly where everyone else went, and you're refusing to go to them because you might be alone?  That's not how reality works.  You're alone because you refused to follow everyone else.)

(It is kinda rude, and that's why I edited it.  I don't see the logic in sticking close to your friends by going off and doing your own thing.  You stay close to your friends by staying by their side.  And as for the civilians, a bunch of them went in along with the rest of us on the boat.)

(Anyway, Alida almost died fighting alone in the last labrynth, and doesn't want to repeat that.)

(Well, the fact that the telepathy got cut off is a bit alarming, and I don't think we know exactly where the others are currently? That's why I intend to give the Memento to Sasha, to make sure I can have some connection with her.

Also muh civilians! I only want to check up on them quickly, maybe it could give some clues on the witch?

The plan is just to make sure the civilians are okay, then go reunite with the others.)

(I believe we've vanished along with a brightly painted boat with several people and a familiar on it.  We entered the dark tunnel with the bright lights that was ten or so feet away from you, and vanished once we crossed the threshold, so to speak.  I can't be certain, but it should be obvious where we were and what we were doing when we vanished from your sight, it happened directly in front of you at short range.)

(Memento also costs quite a lot of soul.  If you want to make certain you don't lose Sasha when you go through, the two of you might just hold hands.  Also, consider the group situation.  I'm pretty sure both my character and King Murdock's will go witch if we don't get a refill at the end of the mission, assuming neither of them dies before that.  If Asha needs another refill, making it three people who need refills, someone is almost certainly going to die from soul loss.  Do you want to put someone in that situation because you chose to spend magic on a major cost item for something that could be done just as well with a hug?)

(I intended to create a Memento eventually, for the synergy with the many contact based abilities of Asha.

And it's not like I intend to stay outside the labyrinth for hours? Checking up on the three persons shouldn't be long, and if your location is easily accessible, I should be able to get to you in no time.

If it's not and there are magic powers at hand that send us in random areas of the labyrinth upon entry, then that's bad news.)

(It might be easier to understand, Nakéen, if you think of it this way.  Every time someone spends soul, someone dies a bit.  We get a certain amount, but if we spend more than we get, someone must die to make up the difference.  I'm always worried about taking any more than I have to for everything, as I feel that I'm not the one who pays the cost when it gets used.  I'm also feeling like that memento is basically waving a flag in my face saying that I shouldn't have went through so much effort to save soul last mission.  You know all the soul you saved by not using painless, and by doing lots of melee damage, so the ranged character with the build mixup didn't have to die to kill the enemy?  Well, Asha just spent twice as much, and didn't even notice how expensive it was!)

(Anyway, it is your character, but I do feel like you're using a very expensive ability so that you can continue to avoid using your free powers.)
