Well, first thing to do is get David to do a quick scan of our soldiers' minds and disable any that are Goons.
If there actually are Goons, we can use the mindscans as justification to know about the traitors on the ship, and see if David can get us an accurate enough teleport of some troops.
Otherwise (and the thing I requested this for to begin with), since David killed a bunch of Protinam when he was under the control of the Secondborn, encourage him to do a scan for possible Protinam.
Like, a really wide scan.
Really wide.
As far as he can go.
Like, potentially-a-large-ways-into-the-opposite-hemisphere wide.
Hopefully-including-Greece-and-Italy wide.
"David," says Celling quietly. "I suspect that some of our soldiers may be Goonswarm agents. Can you search their minds quickly and disable any that are?"
"Can't help you with that, Celling," David responds. "I see the future, remember. I don't see people's minds."
"The Secondborn was able to break into a person's thoughts," Celling says back.
"It seems that I didn't get all of his powers. Only his power source," David replies. "No, wait, the Key of Taloc should be able to do what you want."
Celling considers this for a moment. The Key's core sits in his left pocket, its bulky physical structure dismissed. He moves on to the other part of his suggestion. "David, the Secondborn wiped out the entire Protinam order there."
David turns away slightly, wincing at the memories. Celling goes on. "You'll need more recruits. Can you scan the world for Protinam?"
"Believe me, if I could do that, I would," David answers. "Protinam don't glow in the Temporal Spectrum, at least not at far range. They're receivers. The best I can do would be to look for their Beacon, assuming they use a similar design to ours, they're not cloaking it or something, and they have enough power for me to detect."
"Can you do that now?" Celling asks.
"I already have," David shoots back. "Same result as when we did it two months ago, as a regularly scheduled check. Nothing. We're all there is."
What do you do about the Key?A: Hand it to David to use
B: Have Celling use it himself
C: Forget the whole idea

I'd like to note that on Discord, we decided that the Byzantine Empire had Protinam, at some point. That's why Glass asked.
