Wizards and Whiskey

That's right, I'm remaking another game. Unsure of what the player cap will be, provided there is one at all.

This game uses the d6 for all rolls. Damage is chunky salsa.
You have 5 Mana. Casting most spells costs 1 Mana. More complex/powerful spells may cost more for balance reasons. Don't worry about nerfs too much though.
Drinking a average bottle of booze increases Mana by 5 and Drunkenness by 1. Maximum Mana is technically 5, but drinking and spells may allow you to exceed that limit.
Every point of Drunkenness gives you a -1 to spellcasting. You start with +2 to Spellcasting.
Drunkenness normally only goes away if you get some sleep or are otherwise unconscious for a time. Spells which reduce it may be costly.

You only get 3 spells by default upon joining. Choose wisely. Subvert this rule at your own risk. You can normally only cast one spell per turn.
Killing a wizard steals a spell from their list at random if that wizard doesn't immediately come back to life. If that wizard is revived later, they'll still be missing that spell. You need consent to bring someone back to life.
Upon death, all stolen spells are returned to their proper owners if possible. This happens before a spell is stolen from their initial stock. Making a new wizard puts you on the waitlist if you aren't already. I'll assume you always want to steal spells unless you say otherwise.
Please don't mess around with revival too much. I put the above rules in place just in case, but I really don't want to have to make much use of them. The game will probably have a fast moving waitlist anyway, so death doesn't need to be such a big deal. Also, dying isn't pleasant so coming back from the dead makes you drunk.

This is a minimalist RtD originally ran by mastahcheese like 4 years ago. I loved it. As is often the case with things I like, I'm producing a shitty imitation that will never live up to the original running my own version.

There are basically no rules other than listed above. However, I obviously still have to decide what happens as GM. The setting is loosely medieval akin to dwarf fortress.

It only has its cheapest spell that it had in life available to it (randomly picked from its cheapest spells, if there was a tie), loses one mana per turn, dies if it ever reaches zero mana, begins its unlife with 5 mana, begins its unlife without any points in Drunkenness, begins its unlife at half health, and has no innate bonus to spellcasting. Former booze constructs cannot be reanimated. If a booze construct kills a mage, the random spell goes to the booze construct's creator, not the booze construct (unless the booze construct is its own creator or the booze construct's creator is dead, in which case the spell goes to the booze construct).
-Inebriation Ray: Forces a target to suffer the same effects that they would undergo if they drank a normal an average bottle of booze (+5 mana, +1 Drunkenness). Works on things that can't normally drink booze.
-Contingency: When a certain condition is met (set by pm when this spell is cast), a spell that the caster of this spell knows (which must be paid for and chosen by pm when Contingency is cast) comes into effect. Only one Contingency per caster may be in play at once, although Contingencies persist after a caster's death.

You are all recently graduated students of the Wizarding College Thortithbomrek (Spellwhipped).

As is tradition, you've all decided to go on a Pub Crawl, starting at this place: Fikodtangak (Glazedspot). Strike the booze!

Eight fully realized wizards make their way through the door and take it all in. The bar is a rather small one, and there are only 5 other occupants other than yourselves. 13 people occupy this room now in other words, a worrisome number. Most notable is the barkeep, who holds a curious twisted staff with a golden hue. He appears to be cleaning a perpetually dirty set of glasses mugs, as cliche bartenders are wont to do. He nods, recognizing you all. "What's your poison?" Behind the man is a wide array of beverages. Beers, Ales, Wines, Rums, Scotches. Whiskey too, naturally. There's even some Absinthe.

(More powerful booze has a chance to increase drunkenness by two. Things like Absinthe or Moonshine almost always do this, but give 10 Mana to compensate. Since I'm feeling rather silly at the moment, everyone can pick a favorite drink. This drink may them give an extra point of Mana, or have a chance to increase Drunkenness less.)
