I'll admit it was a pretty smart move. We definitely didn't protect them like we should've, and now we're on the defensive despite having a superior fleet.

honestly, that's one of the things I'm enjoying most about this new arms race. There is actual strategy in choosing your engagements and positioning your fleet. At best, your designs give you an edge over the enemy, but to actually win, you have to know how to fight a war.

All joking and foolishness aside, this is why new AR rulesets need to be double-checked. We were under the impression that you could not sneak past us, hence "Just sit at the Spire and keep them from getting past" should've worked.

Anyway, how's it feel to be running out of the most basic ship type?

Technically we were already at those spires, so leaving them wasn't that hard, even if we went in the opposite direction you expected.
