Sure, why not. We'll be working as a team, may as well practice as one.
yeah, let's go for it.
Please wait as the simulation is loaded. The reality around you flickers out of existence as you find yourselves in what appears to be a ruined building. Reddish-purple fog drifts through the broken windows and doors, so thick you can't see more than a dozen feet outside.
At your feet is a box full of HE grenades and spare ammo, as well as a small pile of boards, a box of nails, and a single hammer.
An overlay appears in the lower left corner of your vision.
Mission Objective: Defend Current Position
Enemy Units Incoming In: 4 Minutes and 47 SecondsHead over to Xenobiology. Don't. Touch. Anything. Except the floor.
You walk over to the research wing, and knock on the door. Almost immediately, a tall, burly man slams it open from the opposite side.
"Follow me. Don't. Touch. Anything."He storms off towards the far side of the room, where he almost punches a key code into a panel on the wall, opening up a sealed door.
"You will be talking to Dr. Voss. You will step where he tells you to step. You will breathe where he tells you to breathe. You will touch what he tells you to touch and nothing else or I will personally throw you into the singularity engine. Okay?"He huffs off before you can formulate a response, and the sealed door hisses shut behind you, leaving you with a handsome 20-something wearing a labcoat with purple lapels and sitting in a revolving chair. Scattered around the room are various glass holding containers holding small alien creatures.
The man spins around in his chair to face you, lounging somewhat. "Sup, I'm Dr. Voss. Dr. Rans said you wanted to ask me some questions about aliens or something like that, right?"
Read the part on Mental Amplifiers
Mental Amplifiers are perhaps the most complicated pieces of technology ever found by man. They range from the more basic psychic manipulators, which impose upon reality the wishes of a wielder, to more complex devices which allow for mind control or with a formidable intellect can spontaneously create matter from nothing. Of these more complex devices, only a few exist in the whole universe and are only available to the larges of governments or mega-corporations.
Needless to say, mankind has absolutely no idea how such devices work.
