Ah, lively debate. Come up with a list of skills you think are most important. I might do a weighted vote Google Form thing.

Some thoughts on attributes too? Strength and Agility are obvious, but in what ratios, etc.

In other news, race select screen and pop distribution:

And the civ choice:

We have to make a civ choice too. Just put something out. Empire of cats sounds good.

we really dont need to start with wrestling skill thats one of the easiest to train + for dodging and blocking though
Fair enough.

EDIT:

I vote mostly agility. I'm personally in favor of having lots of survivability.

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

Whipping up a weighted average for each choice may be too tedious. I'll take this if +1'ed

EDIT:

Alright, I have a meet-in-the-middle non-tedious solution. Come up with lists of attributes and skills by importance and I'll single transferrable vote them.

Could you provide a list of attributes and skills?

*ahem* wiki (and for skills)

The other thing - obvious problem - what major weapon skill do we choose? Vote in poll above.

I vote agility *and* toughness if we truly want to focus on survivability
as for weapon skill I don't think we should put skill in any weapon we should put it all on dodging
poll is still locked for me btw

specifically i think we should put all points in dodging except for 1 rank in shield user (so we start with a shield) and 1 rank in reading so we might become a necro some day

I'd say agility, toughness, endurance, recuperation, disease resistance, and then finally strength for body attributes, and a willpower and kinesthetic sense focus for soul attributes.

As for skills, I'd suggest dodging, shields, and prob. either crossbows or bows, with early throwing and wrestling training in-game.

EDIT: Being a necromancer would indeed be fun. Just send all of the meat shields in for you. :D

So your list is
Code: [Select]
Agility
Toughness
Endurance
Recuperation
Disease Resistance
Strength

and

Code: [Select]
Willpower
Kinesthetic
Focus

Alright, note to self.

Also, on the necro front, we could just profane a temple, become a nightcreature, stroll up tower, take slab, leave cookie...

profit.

Er, no, the "focus" part meant "focus on those two".
I'd forgotten that it, too, was an attribute.

Empire of cats is fine by me (hey we're a tiger person i get it)
You can stroll up and get the slab all you want but you need reading skill to read it if you don't start with reading skill you can literally never become a necromancer
(can profaning a temple give you the other kind of curse too though? because I really don't want that)
I vehemently oppose taking recuperation and disease resistance.  chances are OVERWHELMINGLY higher that we will just get knocked out by getting our fingernail broken or something and then have our head smashed in, than us dying of infection or it somehow mattering that our recuperation is slow
therefore disease resistance and recuperation are night upon useless.
on that note willpower and kinaesthetic are ok but if we spend points on them now we are quite likely to just get killed before we can put them to much use, i'd rather have the highest agility possible and more chance of surviving to increase our kineasthetic and willpower for another day
So I don't suppose i'd persuade you to change your mind glass?
my vote in order of distribution of points:
Code: [Select]
Agility
Toughness
strength
subtract everthing from:
Code: [Select]
creativity
linguistic ability
musicality
empathy
social awareness
skills:
Code: [Select]
dodging
(1 rank only) reading
(1 rank only) shield user
