I'm the same, except I'm not actually a rifleman. I don't have a rifle at all, in fact. Also not a man. I fly planes. Still enthusiastic about not getting shot with my feet on the ground, hence the hiding in some house till the mission's over and I hopefully get to fly a plane again.

Best way to fight, really. Unfortunately both I and Toby wear glasses, so he wouldn't be a sniper  :'(
With a bit of tweaking I can re-purpose him as an AT specialist or a non-combat class if any of the current players desire.

((You should add why you got thrown into the 888th. For example, are you a woman, did you kill several comrades, war crimes, reckless negligence, volunteer?))

In any case it would be a battle of critical thinking and I refuse to fight an unarmed individual.

"The hell was that?" Bob muttered at the sound of explosions. A little concerned, he broadcasted over the radio: "You alright over there? Heard some explosions."
Tala gave the situation while speaking to Radioman. (Basically, ambushing a convoy that went through a tunnel, after noticing the storm seemingly stopped over the bunker-fortress)

"-ambushed a convoy probably using the storm as cover. We fear that those...ship-Nazis are present and may be aware of us now. Over."

Quote
Everything grows silent save for the patter of rain and the constant thunder.
"We need someone to survey the convoy now, but we need to provide cover and shift our position. I'm really wary of those psychic-dream Nazis or however Winston described them. We do not know how they detect us unlike conventional warfare. Does anyone want to volunteer? I cannot myself because of my speed."

Simon lays stunned on the ground where he fell, smiling up at the rainclouds.  After a few seconds he reaches up to feel his now-unprotected head, and chuckles to himself.  "Aheheh, damn, had that helmet since the suicide mission... hehe..."

Roll over and start crawling away from the remaining building, back to the forest...  Simon's just going to retrace his path back to base, because that is sadly the wise thing to do.  Much as I want to go kill Nazis in the buildings to the west, there's no actual benefit to...

Wait.  Wait.  This is RTD, right?  So Simon can roll a 1d6 to drive a tank, and has at least a 50% success chance?  Was that Panzer he saw before running, implying occupants?  If not, after getting back to the forest, divert west towards the Nazis and their tank.  No better lightning protection than being ENCASED IN ARMOR PLATING!

This is RTD. You might just do it.
Or you'll roll a 1 and find a Nazi with a Schmeisser (MP40) who happened to be sleeping in that house.

To Bob, over the Radio: "Sure, sure ... you do that. I ... I think we need a minute over here. Something happened. Not sure what, but ... I think  ... I think everything went according to plan. Does that actually happen?

Since Radio is taking point on inspecting the wreckage, Ed will keep an eye out along the intersecting roads for Nazi reinforcements.

Question: How many of Ed's 3 satchel charges did this attack expend?

Finally, Ed will organize the group into squads for searching for friendlies in the area.

"Good work, gang. Excellent work. Radio, call that into base would ya? Also, if you haven't already, alert them about that squad of Nazis that Bob found earlier. Alright gang, listen up! Tala's right, we need to be about our business quickly and get moving. Keep an eye out for hostiles, and start checking this area for Friendlies. Living Friendlies! And just in case it needs saying, DO NOT KILL THE FRIENDLIES!

Tala, if you would take two people, maybe Taggart and Grouse (Random and Leodanny) down the southwest branch, I'll take Jack and Radio down the southeast branch, and we'll meet up again in the middle branch. Sound good? If you have any trouble, three loud whistles on your bird call will bring us running. One long whistle will tell us to retreat to our little bunker. If we don't see you in the middle fork, we'll do a quick sweep of where you were supposed to go before heading back to regroup and move on to the next place. You do the same if you don't find us. If I go missing, you are in charge. If you and I fall, Jack, you'll be in charge. Got it?

Welcome new guy.

I invite you to post in The OOC Thread to keep up to date on conversations regarding the game that are sort of tangential to the action. Also, if you get spawned in, find out from PW (the GM) where you are. If you are with the main group, Ed will happily put you to work. Good luck, and have fun!

Mmm... Don't they look pretty now.
Jack blinks, then shakes his head remembering where he is.

Yes sir, will we be checking the truck after clearing the houses?

Follow Ed's orders. Load 2 shells.

Quote from: Temporary Team
Tala (Tiruin); Sniper/Medic
Grouse (Leodanny); please post your sheets next time
Taggart (RGU); Flamethrower/Melee person
"Got it Edward," Tala said, wiping off some rain droplets with that white cloth she tied on her rifle. She had exhausted all her ammunition just to be sure.

Go with Edward's plan, searching time!
