Definitely agree on the Fair Fight fix. Seems like the best way to keep them from turning the naval situation back on us this turn.

The fair fight isn't broken. It completely nerfs their missiles, and it severely reduces the effectiveness of their airburst artillery to the occasional hit. It is a waste of a revision. We don't need to 100% negate Cannala's advancements, spending extra revisions to do that is just as much of a trap as the one Cannala fell into, when a 90% negation is good enough. Falls into the trap of "better missile tracking, flares, proximity fuze, jamming, better jamming, better proximity fuse, etc....."

We have a new problem with cannalan infantry taking out our armoured vehicles. We don't know if the new slat over ERA would be effective at all, and it only applies to our salamanders. The war horse would help solve that by giving our vehicles a much better defense against infantry since it can just ignore whatever cover they are using. It would also help a lot in defensive infantry vs infantry. Much more mobile than an autocannon, but much more oomph than an LMG.

Fair point with the Fair Fight, but I'm not sure about the Warhorse.  Don't their RPG teams use ambushes to launch their attacks? The 20 mm already acts like an HMG.  I'm up for either the fairfight or the Missile this turn.

the 20mm acts like an autocannon. Very different role. At least twice the size and half the portability. Notably it goes in the main turret of vehicles instead of being the auxilliary machineguns we have stuck on top.

Also it is still the old AC18s and M1 Stallions that our infantry are using as an HMG, because the newer AC41 is even heavier and less suitable. Basically we have nothing suitable for the role so we are using obsolete equipment that is still to heavy to effectively fill the role.

As far as I know it largely DOESN’T reduce the effectiveness of their AAA.

"The Fair Fight Module doesn't render the Cannalan radio-detonated artillery shells ineffective against aircraft, however. Fighters don't carry it, and when bombers have come close enough to AAA fire to test it, it has proven not to be completely effective- many shells still detonate close enough to the aircraft to cause damage."
Okay. It doesn't protect fighters from AAA, and isn't completely effective at protecting bombers. It is still somewhat effective at protecting bombers and completely negates their missile.

Forenia's aircraft have difficulty approaching Cannalan fleets due to very effective radar-detonated AAA

The enemy AAA is not in the least inhibited by the Fairfight. At least, not what battle results represent.

Anyway, getting a naval advantage would be devastating to the Canallan's

As such, I propose this weapon.

TPD 'Leviathan' 43 : The Leviathan may seem like an upscaled Dolphin, but it's more than that. Aside from the more powerful warhead and vastly extended fuel reserve, this 2 ton weapon hides some other tricks. A strange assembly on the nose hides 3 of the Whale song's detectors. After a preset range has expired, these 3 sensors take over navigation, heading to the loudest nearby ship. Both impact and magnetic detonators from the Dolphin are present. A set of baffles behind the sensors ensure that the thing doesn't start chasing it's own propellor.

It's perhaps ambitious, but it's entirely known tech.  We developed all this before.

This gives us a weapon that allows any of our ships to kill the Canallan's largest ships with impunity.
