You set the butt of your pike into the ground and aim it at the oncoming dragon.
3*
Moments before impact the beast realises the danger posed by the sharp pointy thing, and halts its charge.
3*
You manage to get a glancing blow in with the pike before the dragon snaps at you with its gaping jaws. You stumble backwards to avoid getting your head bitten off.
3*
The creature stops, giving you a chance to recover- just in time to dodge the jet of flame issuing forth from its open mouth. You suffer some burns on your left arm, but you grit your teeth and carry on.
5*
Now is your chance to strike! You lunge forwards, jabbing your pike into what looks like a weak spot. Judging from the amount of blood that gushes forth, you must have done some damage.
5*
Dodging its swiping claws, you thrust your pike once more into the beast's belly. It cries out in pain, and you stab again, at its legs this time.
6*
Crippled, the beast tries one last time to roast you, but you easily avoid it, drawing your sword in an instant and bringing your blade down upon the creature's outstretched neck. Fuelled by adrenaline, you cleave right through, and the bewildered head drops to the ground, as the body crumples up.
Your fellow hunters return to your side, mouths agape in amazement at the decapitated dragon.
"My Queen- or should I call you Dragonslayer?"
He probably should.
Congratulations! Erin has slain a dragon, and earned the title of Dragonslayer! This title is sure to impress people.
You all agree that this would be a good time to end the hunt. With some difficulty the dragon is butchered, and taken in pieces back north.
As you ride, the hunters are discussing who should get what part of the dragon. They all agree that you should get the head, since you killed it, and another piece on top of that. They inquire as to which piece you would prefer.
A-The skin. Dragonleather armour sounds appealing.
B-The blood. Surely it must have some use?
C-The meat. A feast where dragon is on the menu would be the greatest the land has ever seen.
D-The bones. Dragonbone weaponry would strike fear into your enemies.
Wisdom: Or... wait. Wouldn't dragonbones be light, and possibly hollow, to aid in flight?E-What's all this nonsense about dividing the loot? You killed it, it all belongs to you!
