The city of Kralicanev is your home now. What remains of the city's housing is full to bursting with refugees. Gradia lies some distance to the east, overrun by rebels, littered with your family's remains.

The Advisor approaches, and unfurls his scrolls. First is the scroll of Fiefdom Status:

"As you can see, my Queen, the only item of concern is the level of unrest in the city. Though not a problem right now, it may become one in the future, should it rise any higher."
You take his word for it. He seems to know what he is doing.

True, and besides - bandits will be lightly equipped, mostly unarmored. Easy pickings for heavy infantry.

Also: I picked Queen not because we *are* a queen, but because we *will* be. Our character is a confident woman.

You announce a campaign to the west, against the bandits that have claimed the Qalaqad hills for themselves. Your advisor starts to ask whether you want to lead the army, but you cut him off and call for your suit of armour. What kind of question is that, anyway?

Huzzah! Queen Erin has embarked on a military campaign! (The Advisor will take care of things in Kralicanev)

Leaving a small garrison behind, you take the rest of your forces and head west. The defenders of the first town you encounter flee at your approach.

They manage to evade your forces, and retreat into the hills to the west. You continue heading west, and within a few days, scouts report the news that a large bandit army- roughly equivalent to your own- is amassing in the hills, preparing to strike against you. Your commanders turn to you for orders.

A-This calls for a lightning strike, to break up their army before they can organise themselves!
B-They want to fight? Bring it! We shall march against them, and face them in open battle.
C-Let them come. We shall make a fortified camp on a nearby hilltop, and await their reckless charge.
