It has finally happened. While the council had settled for 100 each for beginning industry in Mining, Construction, and Fuel Production, a few days later Yera PropulsionStudyer finished her research into Trans-Newtonian Materials and the results are absolutely
astonishing! She explains the materials, all
11 of them, have the ability to assist greatly in various fields of production and even study! Alongside this a newly promoted and promising officer by the name of Euchre Jack has been showing a great amount of skill in piloting newly developed practice fighters! Today marks a great day in history with these 2 newly made announcements both of which bring good news. Here's both transmissions so you can see the news delivered.

A large podium sat atop a large stage while the various members of the Dwarven Conglomerate sat across from it and in an elevated position on a now visible second floor, their forms hidden behind cloaks made of various colors and metals, while below the Council sat a small amount of Soldiers ranging from Trainee's to Swordsmen sat on metal fold out chairs, their stocky Dwarven bodies situated in various colors of armor, the different colors denoting their ranks and positions in the army while up on the stage behind the podium stood the crimson armored Mark CommandsTons, to his side stood the promising Rookie Fighter Pilot in Training Euchre Jack donned in the whispery silver armor all Fighter Pilots in Training, and future pilots of actual Fighters, wore as he stood to a rigid salute. With a clearing of his throat Mark Commandstons quieted down the amphitheater and begun to speak.
"Hello my fellow soldiers and the ever esteemed Council. I am here to proudly award the Medal of Great Service to one Euchre Jack, the upcoming future Fighter Pilot and one of our most promising soldiers to date, excluding myself. This soldier has shown great valor and motivation in training alongside an outstanding amount of skill in comparison to his fellow peers. That is not to be said in demoralizing all of you, ya bloody idjits, but so far he's shown far more promise then any of our other bleedin idiots of a soldiering force. Now he also has the honor of being the first to be awarded this medal, and probably the last if the rest of ya don't step up and actually start workin ya arses off instead of sittin there with yer thumbs up yer asses!" The Commander had gone red faced in his frustration at this but with a clearing of his throat he waved over Euchre Jack who swaggered over with pride and arrogance as he gladly allowed the Commander to put the medal around his neck. With a grunt the Commander went back to the podium and begun again.
"Now, this concession is over. It was a great honor to have the ever esteemed council here for this arrangement, but now its time for work." The Council members all stood and nodded at once before receding into the blackness of their viewing platform, presumably to continue their conventional industry discussion, as the Commander turned back to his soldiers still sitting in their seats. "WELL?! WHAT ARE ALL OF YE STILL DOIN 'ERE?! GET YER ARSES UP AND AT 'EM! IF I DONT SEE EACH OF YA RUNNIN' THE TRAININ' COURSE IN 10 SECONDS YER ASS IS MINE, GOT IT?!" The Commander motioned for Euchre Jack to stay behind as with a startled urgency the soldiers that were previously sitting lazily in their seats jolted up and immediately started rushing towards the exit. As the last soldier left the Commander turned back to Euchre Jack with a somewhat relieved and grateful expression. "I jus' wanta say thank ye' son, yer makin' all the others get off their arses and start actually doin their damn jobs fer once. Yer motivatin 'em to work harder and i can't tell ye how much that means ta me. Maybe we can finally get a workin military force with ye doin what yer doin. Alright lad, enough sappy gobshite, get out there and do yer trainin course with the rest of them bloody idjits!" With a final playful command the Commander smirked at Euchre Jack and patted him on the back as he ran off to join the others on the course...

[SUBJECTS PRESENT - Leading Science Dwarf Yera PropulsionStudyer, Archer Rank Fleet Commander Mark CommandsTons, Dwarven Conglomerate Council, Dwarven Conglomerate Scientific Forces]

In a private officer room stood a female dwarf, Yera PropulsionStudyer, donned with her labcoat and a new invention to help her diminishing eyesight called "Eye Assistance Apparatus" or Glasses by lesser educated dwarves. In front of her was a large round table with the various members of the Dwarven Council in their various colored robed armors while the Fleet Commander Mark Commandstons sat nearest to her, lined up in seats situated against various walls were the rest of the leading scientists of the Dwarf Conglomerate. Next to Yera on a desk sat another recent new invention called a "Image Enhancing Auto Docked Presentation Apparatus" or a Projector with Pre-Loaded Pictures as she held the remote to switch its pictures. With a happy and excited smile Yera began her presentation.
"Esteemed Council, Fellow members of the Scientific Community, Mark," an indignant but friendly 'Hey' sounded from Mark's location as Yera giggled in response. "5 Years ago you gave me a project to study a new batch of materials found in deposits all over our planet while our people already were advancing faster then ever imagine technology wise. With new inventions like Cars, Planes, and even the first few conventional Rocket Powered Spaceships sprouting up quicker then ever imagined I thought that anything I would find would be significant in comparison, but I was proven wrong. I had estimated 6 years to complete this project, I completed it within 5 with a few years to spare and I have to say my findings will shoot our species forward technology wise in ways we could never imagine. Today I will be showing you the various materials, of which there are 11, and explaining what my findings have discovered. First up is the most common material found, Duranium." With a click of her remote the projector showed a picture of a metal slab, silver with black streaks flowing through it like waves. "Now, our planet, from what I have seen, does not have a huge source of it, but we wont be running out of it any time soon. We have a decent amount of accessibility to it, meaning its easy to mine without problems, and it can be found nearly everywhere. From our study of it Duranium not only proves to be one of the most durable metals we have yet discovered, it also proves to be one of the most malleable. When heated to above 1000 degrees Fahrenheit the metal becomes easily moldable into any shape without problem. Them most important factor however, is its density. This metal is so dense that various molecules and atoms themselves cannot pass through them, we don't know how this is possible nor do we care at the moment, what we
do know however is that this makes it the most prime building material for buildings, cars, and even..." she paused for suspense here with a giggle, "space ships. With this metal and the others we discovered Space Travel is no longer a dream for the future, but is now a dream for anywhere from 10 to 20 years from now, much closer then the previous estimate of over 100 years. Now granted, despite these newly discovered materials, this is still a little ways off, but it is far closer to being accomplished then ever before. Anyways, onto the next material." With a click of her remote a new material was shown.
This material was a neon yellow liquid in comparison, so neonly bright that the contrast of the picture had to be lowered. "Now, this material is called Sorium. We tried a lot of different experiments with it, and all of them ended in failure, and in some cases death, except for
one. That experiment lead to the discovery that Sorium is a fuel source. This Sorium is far more effective then petrol ever could be. For comparison, lets say a single gallon of petrol gets you 100 miles before its depleted. Its an inaccurate assessment yes but its for examples sake. Now, from our studies a single
pint of Sorium would get you a little over 10,000 miles before its depleted. Now, this coupled with future discoveries in the field of Propulsion could lead to ships that could travel from our home planet of Urist to the edge of our solar system in under an hour! It also helps that it is the 2nd most common material found with dubious amounts of deposits all across our planet. However this material also is in low supply despite the amount of deposits, we estimate close to under 100 years until our planet runs dry of it, so finding deposits and even possibly
utilizing said deposits on other possible planets and interstellar bodies could really help, but alas I'm getting ahead of myself. Onto the next one." With a click of her remote, the next material was shown.
This material was another metal, this time a deep blue that seemed to sparkle under light. "This material is a metal called Neutronium. It is very dense, similar to Duranium, but it is far less malleable and can only be molded when heated under high degrees of temperature over 3000 degrees Fahrenheit. Now while this may seem unconventional it is actually very useful for projects that would be more, I guess you could say
permanent. Like say, perchance, a Station in Space to build various ships for space travel rather then the shipyards on our planet. It could also be used for operations that are far more stressful then normal conditions, like a possible weapon that fires ammo at such high speeds its like a beam of light. Our planet seems to have an extremely large amount of this material, estimated not to deplete for another 400 to 500 years, but its accessibility isn't that great. Anyway, that's all we've discovered for this one, onto the next." A click of the remote, and the projector slides to the next picture.
This material was another metal, but instead of a slab it was a thin wirey material, almost needle thin, and was pink in color. "Now, this one is called Corbomite. As a building material it has no uses, but as a wiring metal conductor and programmable source it has the most uses plausible. It conducts electricity in such a unique way that as a result, when formed together with the proper materials, it can reflect light, create hard-light projections, and even disrupt electronic systems if used correctly. This could allow us to create efficient stealth systems, ECM systems and even possibly bubble hard-light projections that can block kinetic and even energy disruptions on it, but only to a certain degree, a few of us are calling this last possibility "Hard-Light Blocking Apparatus" or Shields. Now Corbomite has a decent amount on our planet, estimated to not deplete for another 100 years or so, and also has the greatest accessibility ever seen alongside one other material." Another click, another new material shown.
This material was dark green in color and was shown as a slab of metal. "Now this one is called Tritanium and so far its only notable properties is in the field of Offensive Rocket Production and Technology, meaning that when used in tandem to create new offensive rockets, commonly called missiles, or to create new 'missile' technology this material is the best to be used on that field. We don't know how but using it creates results better then using anything else we have. Our planet seems to have a small source of it, and its accessibility isn't that great, but thankfully we shouldn't run out of it for another 150 years or so due to its low accessibility." Click, new material.
This material was a slab of metal in another green color, but this was a more earthy green rather then dark green, as in it could blend in with grass and dirt if laid on it. "Now this material is called Boronide. This material is another conductor but to a far better degree then Corbomite, and as a result we've found that any power systems or capacitors created using this material conducts, stores, and creates a far greater output then standard Nuclear power, and it also is pollution free, in fact this material is unique in that the waste it creates actually
helps the environment when used. This could lead to a possible terraforming possibility in the future but for now its best used for power systems, especially since it helps our planet rather then hurt it like all other power systems do. The problem however is that this material comes in a small shortage, with a decent accessibility. This means that it will fully deplete in 80 to 85 years from now, which could be a problem in the future, so it'd be a good idea to start searching other celestial bodies for a new source, which also leads me to a new suggestion that I will address at the end of this presentation." Click.
This material was a slab of metal that is a pure white color with grey circles of varying sizes dotted across its form. "This material is called Uridium and we've found that when used in Sensor systems and various Weapon Fire Control systems it produces far greater results then anything else on our planet. We don't understand how but somehow when using this material our sensors range and accuracy improve by a startling 516%, the same applying to Fire Control systems. The current theory is that the grey spheres across its surface are actually colonies of differing micro-organisms with special organs that allow them to sense pretty much anything they wish, convey it to other colonies, and then feed the information through the metal to any visual or otherwise sense based source for use by any organism that decides to utilize it. Our planet itself has a very high abundance of Uridium, however the accessibility isn't that great, the estimate to depletion being 400 to 500 years until full depletion, so it is not a resource we are exactly hurting for." Click.
Another metal slab appeared except this one was a very light red and was ever so slightly glowing. "The military is gonna love this one!" Yera winked to Mark "Now, this glowing metal is called Corundium and it has the unique property of being able to project energy itself. Now this isn't useful by any conventional means, but military wise? It could mean everything. I actually have a quick demonstration video lined up here, just watch and be amazed." With another click a video appeared and began playing. It showed a pure white room, common in the various research labs, that was at the least 50 feet wide and 100 feet tall. On one end was a long line of varying metals, including
all of the unique metals explained so far and even the ones that have yet to be explained. On the other end was what looked like a very large gun that was light red in color and was glowing slightly, evidence of its Corundium creation. Suddenly the glow intensified, not enough to be blinding but enough that some dwarves had to look away, and suddenly a very loud sound, as if a gong had been struck and the resulting sound was extended in duration, before suddenly a light red beam shot out of it and into the line of varying metal plates. The first plate began melting, before the next, and the next after that, until after just 30 seconds of being used all of the metals were completely melted through, including the wall that they were situated in front of sporting a brand new hole, before the video cut off. The gathered group turned towards a now grinning Yera. "That, ladies and gentlemen, was a Corundium based Offensive Laser Weaponry System. It allows us to create energy beams of varying different types that gave the effect you all just saw. Like I said, useless conventionally but military wise it changes the game entirely! This material, similar to Corbomite, has great accessibility, but sadly despite that it doesn't have a great amount quantity wise. Its estimated that we will run out of Corundium in 80 to 90 years, so it is another material we are hurting for and will need to find a new source for in the near future. Moving on!" Click.
Another metal slab is shown but this one is a deep purple color with what looked like white jagged lines coursing through its body. "This material is Mercassium and, again, not quite knowing exactly how it works, it will be extremely useful for any Space Ship construction and even research we wish to engage in. This metal has the unique property of creating Life Support Systems that are far more effective and cost effective then the current ones in use by our conventional rocket ships that we have been testing and using. Now this is the most confusing but unique property. When this material is created as a box and any research is done inside said box, that research finishes quicker, more effective, and far more accurate then if it was conducted in one of our normal research facilities. That's actually how I managed to speed up my research as quickly as I did! I had a construction team replace the 5 research labs that we currently have with this material and the research conducted inside was finished and far more effective by an increase of 164%! However, that's not all it does, yes ladies and gentlemen there's more! When this material has a proper focusing apparatus and power source, it has the ability to attract almost anything to itself. Utilizing this property properly could allow us to create what me and my fellow associates call a "Tractor Beam" that will allow us to virtually create Tug ships for space, or even Boarding Ships for space as well! Our planet has a decent supply of this material but its accessibility isn't that great, so it isn't estimated to dissipate for another 200 to 250 years. Alright, this presentation is almost finished and I thank you for being as patient as you all have been with me." Click.
This time a small metal slab that was white in color with a slight blue undertone was shown. "This metal is called Vendarite, and it is purely militaristic. All of our studies show that it will only be useful in fighter production and storage. It has the same properties as Duranium but the material when used in great quantities gets more and more brittle as it expands. Military Fighter based production is also slightly sped up when used in rooms laced with the material, the current solution is to lace a small amount of the material into the construction of Fighter Production Facilities so that it doesn't get as brittle as it can while still being spread throughout the entirety of the building. The good news however is that our planet has a large quantity of the material with a great accessibility, estimated not to deplete for another 200 to 220 years." With a happy relieved but tired sigh and a click, the next material was shown.
This material is a metal slab that is grey in color that sported various green crystals dotting its surface. "Finally, ladies and gentlemen, this last material is Gallicite. The unique properties of this material are specifically the crystals darting its surface. When removed the crystals are just normal rocks no matter what you do, but when left alone in the metal it becomes, well simply put, a propulsion enhancement. Confusing, I know, but its the best explanation I could come up with. When an engine, of any size, is created using this material it allows said engine to reach speeds never seen before. In fact its such high speeds that I
highly recommend not allowing it to be used to create common vehicle engines unless you wish for the every day vehicle to travel from 0 mph to 10,000 kmph in 2 seconds. Now while that does seem pretty slow in terms of how big space itself is and the distance between our planets, when you account for that fact that space itself has no friction then you'll find that these engines are actually
extremely useful for space faring engines. However our planet sports a decent quantity but, worryingly enough, its accessibility is the lowest of the new materials discovered on our planet. Due to the decent quantity but very low accessibility it will take 200 to 300 years to deplete it fully from our planet but as a result we wont be mining out a decent amount of it yearly any time soon, so by extension it is another resource we are hurting for and considering what its used for, I highly recommend putting it at the top of our priority list."
"Now, before I end this presentation and we all go on to use these materials to change the very lives of dwarven kind in short order, I have a suggestion for the council. My suggestion is that you gather a small group of 4 to 5 of our greatest archaeologist and geologist dwarves and put them into a team, before having them explore our planet for greater stores of this material. The current situation and deposits that we have found and their various quantities are, as I believe, only surface deep and I know that if we sent a dedicated team to go out and find deeper deposits on our planet of Urist, the results will only be positive. Alright, that's the end of my presentation, thank you all for being patient and listening to it!" With a bow Yera and her fellow scientists left to begin their research into actually utilizing these new materials for the greater good of Dwarven Kind.
