Sir Lootington shivers and shakes a bit, then looks somewhat different. Hmmm.
TEAM EAST
Ok, so our goal for now is to RUSH THE MIDDLE. Tank and Shadow, go for the one in what looks like an alley. ATH and Ocean, go for the one up top. I'll hang back and conquor the nearest one. REMEMBER TO SPECIFY FULL MOVEMENT SO YOU GO TWO A TURN.
Full speed charge the nearest point. Two movement!
"CYKA BLYAT!"
Double move towards the center as per Derm's instructions. Still gotta get myself caught up.
If we go in all at once, a good attack, even friendly fire, could kill multiple of us at once. I say that someone goes to the point slower, our thinner force would apply a more constant pressure to the enemy, giving them less time to recover or !!science!!.
Do you think that the transformations were temporary because the form was unstable, du to arcane energies, etc? I would like to test it. Duxidatere Pemin Khanici Spirt Boya! Translation: Turn myself into a high-magic owl of ice and copper. Flight should allow me to avoid those spikes on the north field. Might make it easier to avoid enemy attack, being up in the air, and Opara should give me a solid way to attack. Opara + material is good in and of itself, and I can use it to try out a modifier or shape or 2 if I'm doing a fly-by.
edit: Instead of casting spells, rush along the North path, full movement.
Double movement along the northeastern path
(Sorry for the late response)
tank doubletimes toward the alley point, ath the one above.
All of Team East charges across the stone bridge. Across the bridge is a much larger island. The first thing they see is a small curved and raised fortification, smaller than the one on the home island. This one is about four feet high, with a solid wall on the defending side and a shallow rise on the central-facing side. There are a few sets of stairs on the defending side to allow easy access up and across.
Derm breaks south, while Bastien, Poe Pello, Sir Lootington, and Greg all veer north. They all go north dammit I checked this like five times
The next area is a large section of rough terrain. Instead of the packed earth at the front, this is loose gravel, small rocks, and sandy catches. One could run across it with no issue if they weren't, say, having horribly destructive spells chucked at them. Running and dodging across this terrain is a recipe for tripping.
The group reaches the far end of their respective halves of this rough terrain. A large stone wall looms ahead, splitting the island horizontally.
TEAM WESTAll you guys should go for the middle points, to nab them before the other team does.
Because I have the highest channeling, I'll hang back and grab the point closest to us, and then just start pumping out spells to increase the number of words we collectively know. The other team has a massive spell knowledge advantage on us, so we need everything we can get.
Two moves towards the west capture point.
Will that shoulder cloud activate somehow.
Sprint towards the middle southern capture point.
Larry and Enki sprint across the bridge and into the southern half of the rough terrain. Enki can't get his fog cloud to do what he wants.
Run towards the middle of our territory, taking cover at the end of my turn. By the middle, I mean towards the large solid bridge. While I go, re-cast the same spell from last time generally in front of me:
"Twif Lyona Eselle Obju!"
Jefro runs across the bridge, making it all the way to the northern fortification wall, taking cover behind. He breaks out the magic.
[Pot:2]
A tiny pair of bracers appears in front of Jefro. It hovers there for a second before shooting straight up. A breeze catches it and Jefro loses sight of them.
"Who's a good boy! You are! Now please help me murderize the east side."
John tries to get the puppy to follow him as he does other stuff.
Okay then. John heads up the tall defensive wall you mentioned, then does words:
Scall Splosi Silther Neoct. ((Hopefully a viable minion.))
The puppy licks John's leg, then follows him up on top of the fortifications. It's really a nice vantage point up here.
[Pot:6+1]
John and his puppy are joined by a huge wolf, as tall as he is. Its flesh is glassy, and sparks of electricity arc between its strands of fur. Its regal head looks around the battlements, then focuses on you. It doesn't look impressed.
The puppy's tail goes between its legs.
I'm going to start arming up for combat, plus a bit of science on the side.
Oozonter Aidnes Duete Acull. Otherwise known as "I prepared volcanic runes this morning."
Juvin separately.
Move one area forwards and to the south.
Johnny jogs up to the southern half of the fortifications, takes cover, then starts spellcasting.
[Pot:2+2]
Magical runes etch themselves into his right arm. They fade, but not completely.
[Pot:3+2]
Your left leg is covered with magical sparkles, but they fade and disappear.
Not a bad start! One side is rushing while the other is preparing! Which will work out better?
No telling until we see more!
Well, we always hope to see mangled limbs!
