The biggest difference between 2019 and 1910 is that in 1910 virtually all the major powers wanted a war - they just didn't foresee how bad the war would be. In 2019 that isn't  true in Europe.

Instead its more power to what is already leading. I was hoping the democrat party would have put in someone else that would have really made a statement to the changing of times in 2019/2020 and beyond. But instead its the same ole same ole like we have had every single time except once.

They're risking it hard again going with Biden, same as they did with Hillary.

I've long held the cynical opinion that the Dem leadership only cares about social issues insofar as it makes people who ACTUALLY care vote for them. They have a problem with Trump because he's not a Democrat, not because he's a goddam nightmare human. This makes me feel like that's being confirmed.

Like there's not a chance in hell I'm voting for Trump, but if I feel like that you know it's going to swing some people to vote against them.

I feel the same way about how the Republicans are so very "committed" to religious morality and tradition and whatever other horse poo lines they feed to their frothing masses. They care about being in power and nothing else, aside maybe from making sure that the only other people in power are the proper ethnicity and orientation and gender and nationality.
