How dare you call them a dude? They might be non-gender specific! And how dare you say 'over there'? Don't you know Heisenberg uncertainty principle? It would imply that you know exactly how fast that tall black dude was going, which makes you a policeman - and we all know they hate blacks.

Ethnic is fine but can get dicey. Cultural is easy. Religious is dicey too but still fine. Idk what banking identity politics are. Gender identity politics are too inflammatory and impossible to discuss, was the intended meaning of my post.

All of those were also 'too inflammatory and impossible to discuss' at certain points.  People got used to not being insulting about them is the only difference, because of all the people who made doing that 'too inflammatory'. That's the only difference.
