I have absolutely had to correct my fellow religionites about why bad things happening to us is not always religious discrimination, and I assume that happens in other religions too.

Also anecdotal.

Sorry, I read it!  8)

Just to prove it, I agree with a lot of the things you say about how to lead through ideology, but I think that any attempt to run against Trump from any angle should focus more on (I suppose not exclusively) distinct goals than symbology and ideas. I think that by then there will likely be a backlash against running on an ideological platform because of the last election and Trump's demagoguery.

I think the next election will be decided by the person with the most clear-cut plan of action. I don't think there will be a clean lean towards any party if things stay the way they are now. I see so many people switching political views both ways it's insane.

Sorry to interject... but I have a new reason to desire the fall of human civilization, that totally is appropriate for this thread.

As far as I can tell, it is a real product.

I saw a real television commercial for it, and my first reaction was "This HAS to be a This Week Tonight with John Oliver" comedy spoof... but no. No. It wasn't.

Last Week Tonight.

And John Oliver doesn't usually run segments on things so specific or unimportant. There are hundreds of Trump-themed merchandise out there.

But there's a new episode tomorrow, so I guess we'll see.

I know what you're saying, that does have the whole feel of John Oliver's end segments.

The smart salt shaker (kickstarter) looks really dumb.

Was the Juicero the smart juicer you were talking about? Goddamn idiotic idea and a rip-off business model.

To give you an idea of the costs here, if $400 for a juicer wasn't enough

At this time, Packs cannot be purchased without a subscription.

Let's get this straight, you pay $399 for the smart juicer, and it can only be used with special packs that costs about $6 per glass of juice, and you can only get the juice packs if you subscribe to a weekly payment of about $30. And the fruit in the bags isn't even fucking fresh.

https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2017/04/juicero-ceo-begs-you-do-not-open-our-juice-bags/
And whatever you do, don't open the packs to remove the fruit pulp. That's a consumer hack.

Hey man, what's wrong with a juicer that costs you almost $2000 to own in the first year? You're getting 260 cups of juice for that money. Everyone should have one.

Market it as a luxury item and he could make even more money touting it to people with more money than sense.

I forgot to mention that the juicero only juices when connected to the internet. So it's got always-on DRM, which means each juice pack has a serial number that phones home when you juice it, to make sure you're not cheating and refilling the packs or making your own.
