you also misunderstand how kind he is likely to be to a dragon hatchling(worth over 1,500,000 dollars on the black market.)

you duck into a nearby bush and find a convenient path inside the bushes, allowing you to move much faster than the man with the gun can.

Find a tree or a large rock to jump off to practice gliding. This will lead to flight training
