We shall find the nearest small village, and challenge their most powerful martial artist to a duel, to prove our martial prowess!
Challenge the strongest with our Introductory Spear Technique? It is very likely that the difference between us and them is like the heaven and earth. -1 to this foolishness.

We need to strengthen ourselves and gather new techniques. I see a few choices.

1. Attempting to join a sect would be a good idea. Though it will shackle us a bit, being in a sect will give us some protection and a way to develop. And we can always leave, once the we're strong enough that it won't be able to stop us.

2. Of course, joining the military is also a possibility. However, I have the feeling it will shackle us further than the sects. And the martial arts available to soldiers are likely to be weaker.

3. We could find some employment. It allow us to gain some money, and if it will involve combat - we may become stronger by prevailing. And who knows, we might find something interesting.

I, personally, like the first option. Research the sects and their entrance exams. What are they famous for? What are their martial arts? Should we become an Outer Disciple, what will be expected of us? What will we gain as a Disciple? Sign up for the exams afterwards.

.... You've doomed us all. Granted. Everyone except for traps are executed. Random sci-fi nonsense is required to be taught in schools.
A cute intersex harem with everyone in love with the androgynous king and smart and useful enough into pushing the kingdom forward.

You spend sometime in one of the larger towns learning all that you can about the sects and quickly find out that not all that much is actually known to most of the country as the two Sects prefer to cleanly decide themselves from common affairs. The first sect you learn about is the Wind Sect, a martial sect focused on the cultivation of archery, who is holding entrance exams for a total of a hundred new outer disciples leaving you some breathing room if you wish to join despite the vast differences in focus. Finally, there is the Gargantuan Heaven Sect which focuses heavily on the cultivation of one's body to use it as a weapon and a shield, their entrance exams are being held in order to recruit two thousand new outer disciples. Both Sects have kept their requirements of their disciples quite heavily under wraps, but its widely known that each of them control roughly thirty percent of the Empire's resources to spread among its disciples.

You hesitate for a moment before deciding to head to sign up for the exams due to how little you actually learned.

What do you wish to do?

In the long run, a body cultivation technique is superior to a weapon technique. Not to mention the fact that when it comes to weapons, I'd rather perfect our spear. Let's sign up for the Gargantuan Heaven Sect's exam.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.
