The migraine-splat on the ground outside was attaining coherence.  Coherent migraine.  This is approximately terrifying.

(Pity this ain't a videogame with machine guns and stuff so we could shoot whatever migraine-beast rose out of the splat.  Because that's totally how migraines work.)

Also, re-entering the cave while patting Clax = Aww.

If there is any seeking of radio communication, maintain emphasis on actual, practical advice that can be delivered in 50 words or less.

Well, we entered some sort of quantum state for a moment there.
Go back to the radio for real this time, tell him how we got mentally hit in the head,
and ask him if we'd want to pick up whatever fell out of our head.

The migraine-splat on the ground outside was attaining coherence. Coherent migraine.
This is approximately terrifying.

You may as well head back to the Radio.

As you walk back inside, you allow yourself a moment to wonder.
What even was that splatter on the ground?
And why does thinking about it make you feel so scared?

You did your best to avoid looking at it directly, for the sake of your battered brain.
Even just out of the corner of your eye, though. Something about it seemed... familiar? Dangerous?
You kinda wish you'd taken the time to get a better look... but maybe it's for the best.

No sense dwelling on that mystery right now. You shake the thought from your head.
Besides. With any luck, that's the last you'll see of all that mess.

So hey. I'm back.

Are you still there?

You wait for a moment. Then for another moment. And another. And another.
You stand there, waiting for a minute or more. But there's no reply.

Nothing but silence and white noise on the other end.

Leave a message anyway--something unique in your communication style, but something consistent so others know it is you.

Is it at all possible to take the radio with us, in case radio bro calls back as we're off wandering to the northwest? (By leaving the corroded metal bar and the circuit board/notes behind)

Alternatively, how far away might we hear the radio should it crackle to life?

Stairs? Stairs! To the stairs!

I've only been saying that for weeks!

Ahem.  Giving the radio just a little more time, drop the stupid Corroded Bar and Toasted Notes so you can put away the Flashlight already.

Then poke the long Metal Console, with a screen like the Robot's, and turn the wheel on the wall.

Then double-check with the radio.

Then, if nothing important has blown up, explore explore whee!

Hey all. Sorry to not announce this for so long, but I wanted to let things settle a bit first.

A few months ago, I made the decision to mirror this Suggestion Game/Adventure on a website I was building. I was learning web design as I went so it took some time, but the website is mostly done. It still needs a bit of work on page navigation, suggestions, a system for explaining mechanics info/displaying Character Status stuff, blog posts/author comments, and A LOT of transcribing the existing updates into HTML. I'm hoping to be able to get back to site design soon, and get the thing live ASAP!

Also, in a potentially less popular decision, I've decided to migrate Ashwood Cross to another community I frequent. I considered taking suggestions in both threads, but realized that was too much work for me ATM. Making the adventure Community-Independent was the issue that building the website was meant to address, but unfortunately that's still a Work In Progress. My schedule's such that I can't really take suggestions or format updates for both threads at this time, and I'm sorry for that.

Anyway, that all said, I want to take a second to thank you all for your kind words, support, participation, and your interest in this little story-thing of ours! It's been a great experience for me, and I hope to keep making it something y'all can enjoy too. Thanks to all of you for appreciating this project, and for helping make this what it is!

EDIT: Removed links, for a variety of reasons.
